Interview for 10 year Green Card
« on: August 07, 2015, 07:33:57 PM »
For those of you whose partner got the 10 year Green Card after having a 2 year Green Card.

Please specify:

1) We went to an interview for the 10 year Green Card.
2) We did not go to interview for the 10 year Green Card.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

4 8 6 33 1. Why did you have to make so many choices to choose from?

Just in case you have an interview coming up ML. You will have to be there and be interviewed too. I've read stories of question they may asked you and the wife in separate interviews to get an idea if you're living together. What color is her underwear? When's the last time you had sex? With her of course. When was her last menstrual period? You both better have the same answers to show the interviewer you know each other like you're living together. Here is a site below with sample questions.

For those who will bring their gal over by k-1, they need to make sure they keep all documents because this interview may require them. I had to bring our correspondence with me, the correspondence before we ever met. Most people's experience in the interview will last 10 minutes. My interview lasted 30. When the interviewer called me in first, he said my wife looked sharp. He was intrigued about our relationship and asked me questions he normally doesn't ask others. I cut and pasted my experience below.

A passed her  interview and got her green card. I should correct that. I passed the interview and A got her green card. I studied other people's experiences on the internet  and learned what questions may be asked but on our interview I was asked more  questions than A.

We sat in a waiting room and the interviewer calls me to his office first  and told A to wait. The interviewer asked me about our relationship and how we  met. questions about our current life and proceeded to ask me personal questions  as if he was intrigued by our relationship.

He asked me why I chose a young wife. I told him I dated many women, many older than I but I felt A was wife material. He asked how a young woman can be  wife material. I told him she's happy and cheerful which means she's mentally healthy, kind, polite, and very family oriented. Those traits aren't affected by age. He mentioned there are older women with those  traits so why I chose A. I told him I didn't choose A. Men chase women but women  choose the man. I did have a say in whether or not the relationship was going to  happen but I didn't rush in. I told him A was Living in Libya and vacationing in  Ukraine and invited me there. I didn't accept immediately. I told her I wanted  to know more about her as a person and her goals in life. The interviewer told  me he read that in our correspondence. I was surprised. I thought our stuff  didn't get read past the embassy.

The interviewer asked me what my family and friends thought, did they say  "Right on! Way to go!"? I told him "no, they were cautious at first and  questioned A's motivations but after meeting her they thought I made an  excellent choice. When you talk to my wife, you will find she is a wonderful person. Although she's young, she has many fine qualities and of course  she's beautiful. A man would have to be a fool to pass a woman like her up  regardless of her age."

At the end of the interview, I was asked to show photos. I brought over 20  in and some showed A at family functions and holiday parties with her embracing  my parents and nephews and nieces. The interviewer looked at just over half the  photos and said "that's enough! Let's go bring your wife in."My interview lasted 30 minutes. A's  interview lasted 5 and she was asked standard questions such as if she was doing  drugs or a prostitute.

ML, just to clarify, the previous post was from the first green card experience. 10 year green card interviews that you're wanting to know about are random. Neither of you may get called in for an interview if you show enough documents that you have a life together. Both your names on Bank accounts, automobiles, utility bills, and property are important. Print out all monthly statements so they don't request more information.

Just to clarify further, I am NOT asking about the first 2 year Green Card.

I am asking about the interview for 10 year Green Card; did you have yes or no.

I already know enough about the possible questions, etc.

No

No problem. Plenty of others ready to take this step in the future could use the info.

No, I didn't have one. My wife had one that amounted to nothing more than a formality. I do not remember what the questions were but they were very benign and her interview lasted about 3 minutes
