Putin dies on 'Madam Secretary.'
« on: October 15, 2015, 01:46:57 PM »
Referring back to a few months ago when much speculation about what happened to Putin when he disappeared for some time.

On the last episode, he died.

The Russian Foreign Minister in the series has a child going to university in USA;  Ochka says it is the same for the current FM Lavarov.  The FM in series fears for his life and asks Madam Secretary to promise she will give new USA visa to his daughter when time comes, and look after her in general.

The new Russian leader is a woman who might be even more aggressive than Putin . . . at least as hinted by the preview.

Anyway, I'll bet Putin isn't too happy about the events in the last episode.

A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

In tonight's episode (after Putin's death), there is a 'power play' in Russia.  Imagine that !!

In last night's episode, there was a big 'slap in the face' to Ukraine.

And, apparently in next week's episode, USA will shoot down a Russian plane that intrudes into the 'no fly' zone that USA declared for Ukrainian airspace.

USA imposed a 'no fly zone' over Ukraine.
Russian sent in its military planes to test.
USA shot down 11 Russian planes and never lost any itself.
(Would this be possible?)

European countries pushed USA to 'settle' with Russia.

Meeting was held in Geneva.

USA 'sold out' Ukraine, forcing Ukraine to accept a partitioning of Ukraine with the eastern part (much larger than Donetsk, Luhansk area) becoming autonomous.

At end of episode, a military person shot a shoulder missile which blew up a car . . . but it was unclear it it was car of USA President or Russian President.

Next episode in January.

I saw this particular show.  And I have seen only a couple a shows in the series.

To elaborate, after the US downed 11 Russian jet fighters, the Russian military decided to invade Mariputol.  A spy  in the inner circles of the Kremlin.  told the Americans of the plans, so Ukraine and American advisors reinforced the city.   The reinforced Ukranian-American force routed the Russian attack, killing a few hundred Russian soldiers.  Killing only a few hundred sounds as if this was a regiment-sized offensive, nothing as grand as suggested in the show.

Not only did the US sell out Ukraine in the negotiated agreement, when the Russian president also asked at the last moment for the US to apologize, the American president refused and instead he and Madam Secretary gave up the name of the American spy.  The spy had been placed in the Kremlin and managed by Madam Secretary's husband,  who was personally close with the spy.  No sex for Madam Secretary for a week or so.

And there is the part where the female Russian president is revealed as having murdered her husband, the prior Russian president, a true Russian hero.

This show is  too bizarre and absurd for me.  It reminds me of the black and white serials I watched as a young kid.  Far better to watch Homeland IMO, yet it too is becoming absurd.  An ISIS cell is targeting Berlin for a sarin gas attack, and they are aided by an American double agent.  However, the psychotic Carrie is on their trail.
