Scammers New Trick
« on: March 25, 2016, 04:19:05 AM »
Hi guys,

I just thought I'd inform the community of a new trick that scammers are using to bypass the basic scam check that we all use that is Google Image Search.

It turns out that Google Image Search isn't smart enough to detect L-R flipped images. In order to check thoroughly, you need to flip the image received on the horizontal axis in order to fully check that the image is not a duplicate.

Wouldn't that be the VERTICAL axis ;)? TinEye can detect that manipulation, though.

Image search and Tineye does not work well for social nets. Lets say, if a scammer uses pics from somebodys account in OK or VK, it will hardly appear there.
