So my kids B6 and G9 are spending the summer in Ukraine.

I said I would never allow it considering all that has happened but I knew they would enjoy it. My son will be attending a very good wrestling school with good experienced trainers. They'll hangout with their 1st cousins of the same age and go to some interesting places. Two months is much longer than I wanted but. I have come to the understanding that my relationship with their mom will always be a roller coaster. Some days are much better than others. Them spending time there was the best thing for them. The ex isn't taking her other child over when she goes in two months so that's my anchor so to speak.

It will be a splendid experience for your two kids.  You are a good father for doing this.

So it's been 2 weeks tomorrow since my kids left for Ukraine. They are having a good time. My son is involved in a youth wrestling program. The coach actually linked me a live feed to their practice which is more than cool. I am going to also get him private lessons for about 20% of what it would cost me here but I will give the coach more.  It's been good for them. If I didn't have this girlfriend of mine I would be there. I'm glad I allowed them to go. Who knows it might actually help in the relationship with the ex and ex mother-in-law. I do miss walking Khreshatic on the weekends and of course drinking some pints in Obriens. I think next summer I will go.
