Greetings to all from Talyana, Moscow
« on: July 05, 2016, 11:05:32 AM »
Hi, everybody!
I'm Talyana, 50 year old business woman from Moscow. In addition to the main business I'm professionally engaged in assisting practices, so I'd be happy to be useful to the inhabitants of the forum, if anyone need.

Recently began to think about the opportunities of my eldest daughter in Russia, including marriage. Alas, it seems that to find a man without patriarchal rubbish in his had in Russia is a problem not only for my age business women, but for educated and developed personally  young girls too. As most of her friends girls, my daughter works at a reputable company as a jurist after graduating from the law Academy, and she faced with a shortage of eligible men here.  I hope to find information about foreign men here.

Welcome to the forum Talyana,

You and your daughter should do lots of reading here to understand Western men. We have some similarities and differences you'll notice after reading. Most of us are decent men who have intentions of marriage to a woman but you and your daughter should choose a man who has similar interests and beliefs so that there will not be much quarreling in a relationship. Feel free to give your opinions or ask questions.
Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

I will be honest, it sounds like your daughter is in her early 20's. I suggest she look for a guy around 30-35 avoid guys under 30. If you want to read about the mindset of young guys going on the search abroad read this

http://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-37535.html
http://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-35879.html

If she does find a guy, i believe the interviews and paperwork is something like $10k? The total cost of a search from what i read on here is like $40k. Guys under 30 tend to not have the funds for it, i know some who rather go to Ukraine than Russia to avoid paying a few extra hundred bucks on air flights, and visa. Dating site membership for them is like breaking the bank, they rather bypass the system with cheap gimmicks like adding their skype user as their headline.

I know the guys because i talk to women around the 18-25 gap, majority of them get used up in one way or the other. Guys tend to be cheap, can't afford flowers, the search for them is just a game, i only know one couple where it is working out very nicely, but it is pretty rare. She is better off looking for an older guy. I am 25, i just know the women, and what they have told me.

Best of luck

Welcome Talyana!

You should contact Lily.   She is an attorney who moved from Moscow to Toronto.  Her profile:

http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1920

I have met two RW attorneys working in the US as attorneys.  It took a while to become certified.

Also, do  not forget about yourself.  My Russian wife is 51.  She has a few RW friends in her age range who have found love in the US.   They were already living in the US, however.    Some mothers follow their daughters to the US.  This requires some visa work and takes time.  However, the current administration is supportive of immigration.

Where do you get your figures from DK? Are you sure they are not for the US? You did of course put $ for UK though I think it is substantially less, as long as your married a few hundred quid to the immigration crowd and your done as I understand it.

Any OP, if you post up a photo of your daughter all of this may be done very quickly as there are plenty of eligible top quality guys on here, myself included of course  ;D Meeting a girl in Russia/Ukraine who is straight up and direct about getting married is often a difficult task it seems.

Oh! Thanks to all, I didn't expect such a warm welcome :)

Thanks for the very useful information
We are not in a hurry, as one of the heroes of Russian cartoon says "we are well fed here" :) I just don't like to solve issues without prior consideration.

Many years ago I talked a lot with English-speaking foreigners, it was the dawn of perestroika, a huge interest in what is happening in Russia has attracted crowds of tourists, and in our schools that teach some subjects in English, and then in the Institute we accepted 2-3 delegations a week. USA, England, Scotland, Ireland, even the Eskimoses from Greenland, who just was not there:) It Was very interesting and nice to learn how people live in other countries. However, many years have passed, and to judge how people live today under the old impressions outfit makes little sense.

In fact, to the revision of the life strategy, I have matured recently. In 2001, my colleague went to America for permanent residence, reunited with her ex-husband, who had immigrated a long time ago, and since then she regularly attempted to settle in my head the idea of moving to the USA. She said that a woman with two higher educations and child, it is easy to find and a husband, and what to do. However, this idea I didn't like for one simple reason - I'm the resident here, I have a high social status, I do what I love and earn decent money, used does not deny anything, delegate routine duties to subordinates, communicate with the equal education and mentality level people... but in another country, I'm an immigrant, which will have to be employed anywhere, abandoning all that fills my life. As you may guess, these prospects are not much tempted. Now I have ideas and possibilities of how I could preserve and increase the source of income here, while living abroad. Daughters grow up, it's time to think seriously about the future...

So, thank you very much again, I feel very nice about how you all accepted me at the forum :flowers:

Like his one's on UK property - made up..

Welcome to the forum,  Talyana

Sound advice to contact Lily,

Frankly speaking, your daughter must make her own dating profile and you can only hope she is as wise in her choice as you can hope for.

Please excuse the Curmudgeon in my posts ..he will be cured by being reunited with his loved one ;)

You are wise for understanding that. The only benefit for you of moving to America would be for being close to family. If your daughters marry and move to America, only then you should come to. It's a great place for your children, grandchildren, and future generations to grow and live. There is more opportunity and security here than anywhere else. In the end, good family surrounding you is much more important than money.

Welcome to the forum Talyana.

How does your daughter feel about all this? Is she open to finding love overseas?

Many Russian women do need to return to school when they arrive in a new country. Is she ready to start all over? The good news is that most RW we know here end up doing well after they become established. They seem to have the drive and intelligence to go after what they want in life.

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.
Mark TWAIN, American writer ;)
In Russia, I've been repeatedly stolen from the car bags, car radio, once the laptop was stolen while I paid for the phone in daylight, I wasn't in the car 10 minutes. Once the addict tried to attack me in the hallway, a very funny story happened. I believe, the poor guy still remember a crazy woman who whacked her bag on the head and descended him down the stairs... In the early 90's I had the "pleasure" of raids, first the bandits, then the cops... When was the brawl with the tanks in Moscow, our house was hit by bullets, I lived close to the White House. In the next house a stray bullet killed a girl in her own apartment. The bullet flew to the kitchen and bounced off the walls. The only thing I really afraid after all this is mass armed conflict. Something tells me that in America it is much less probably than in Russia.

Let's just say she already made sure that the scope of the search will have to be expanded considerably if she wants to continue to live with a normal person under the same roof. She visited many places already, almost all of Europe traveled, America, however, still is not reached. She wants another couple years at least to do a career, and in parallel and slowly watching, listening and wondering what kind of man she needs. I think this is normal, do not rush to get married, but first to gain experience.

She understands that ыhe will have to confirm education and/or obtain additional, in order to get a job in the specialty.
