Domestic violence puts to death 14,000 women each year in Russia

Seem to be a high number, certainly when compared to the total of 28964 murder each year in Russia...

On http://www.worldrevolution.org/article/1772 , they say :

One woman is killed on average every hour in domestic violence, says the Russian Association of Crisis Centres.

This give a total of 8760 by year...

The data who say 14000 women each year is from 1996, these who say 8760 women each year is from 2005... so, the situation become better... 37% lower case in 9 year... all is not perfect but the gouverment work on it... positive evolution is on the way...
