If I use VK will my English in my message automatically be translated?

So just a quick question here, just wondering if VK would automatically translate my English into Russian for her? So like for messages I send to her or if my profile page will automatically appear in Russian to her even if I have typed it in English, i.e would I appear as a Russian to all intent & purposes or if I wanted this affect would I have to translate everything into crylic?

I've not seen that function on VK but if you use chrome you may have that option. I thought you were advised to find an English speaking girl.

Not for the first time - if you are trying to use VK.com to find a date ... you are v.likely going to be regaling on here - after learning for yourself - that it is a daft place to try...



It's mainly used by ladies to find old mates and to talk about men.

It has a younger audience than OK.ru


HOW MANY TIMES? Using facebook, etc., to try hit on ladies .... not wise...

You can't speak the lingo and most FSU ladies I know will NOT appreciate the intrusion .....you'll mostly be blocked.

Skype (On Windows) has built in translation for the chat feature. It is available for voice for a few languages (Spanish, German, French, I believe). It will be available in Russian soon. She speaks Russian and English translation will appear in the chat box. You speak English and Russian will appear on her end. There are plans for all versions of Skype to have this capability in the future (phones, tablets and Mac O/S). I was at an event in April that was attended by program managers from the Skype team at Microsoft and spoke to them about this.

My advice to you, TC, is to stick to women who have enough English that you can communicate without a translator, other than for complex thoughts (which generally aren't well translated through translation programmes).


If you were retired, and had the time to commit to the misunderstandings you will have with a woman with no English, then you possibly could overcome the lack of a common language.  But from your posts, my sense is, such a relationship is not for you.

No, if you input in English - that is what they'd see - unless they have their browser trying to translate, automatically - so often, so BADLY
