Billy, she's wrong and so are you.

But be that as it may, banning those countries have more to do with the fact it is known that 5 of the countries have increasing terror factions in its borders. ISIS in Syria, Libya, Iraq. Al Qaeda in Yemen, Al Shabab in Somalia. While  Sudan and Iran is held by the State Dept. as countries that support international terrorism. That was the focal reason Obama modified the Visa Waiver and gave travel restriction into those countries back in February 2016, and which Trump cited in his current ban.

We went to war in Afghanistan in our 'war on terror' despite the fact no Afghani ever committed any acts of terrorism in the US before either.

Is it really that difficult for you guys to grasp this?

THINK.

It's bad enough you folks gobble up liberal news trash everyday like mindless minions, it's quite another you guys blindly repeat it. Liberals are fast becoming as much a danger into our society as these terrorists are.

LIES. You lie and present "alternative facts" just like your beloved ape-in-chief. He made lying a @new normal@ reality in this country and it is so sad that trampons are so mindless and unable to think for themselves that they gobble up the made up facts and lies and get infuriated at the free press that keeps the ape's feet to the fire by reporting his lies.

No citizen of the 7 countries committed an act of terror in the US. The countries where terrorists actually come from are not on the list because the ape has business in those countries.

Please try to THINK and use your brain at list just a little bit!!!
Be the person that your dog thinks you are

Gator:
'If the educated and competent refugees have been resettled in distant Western countries, few will return to do the rebuilding.  ''

I know Syrian Christian families who have money and paid 4, 000 Euros each to be taken from S.Turkey to mainland Greece

They made it to family, in Germany - just before the borders started closing up

Bright, intelligent and resourceful migrants are the one's that are most welcome in their new nations, too

Most don't go back - as the opportunities are greater in the west

They are not the sort that end up staying in refugee camps awaiting handouts - they take action

For those of you criticizing Trump for the temporary immigration ban from seven nations harboring terrorist, keep in mind this is a TEMPORARY ban.

Congress feels Trump has bypassed them.   Congress and Obama have been talking about this issue for years yet have done NOTHING.     Trump is giving them 120 days to pass legislation that will deal comprehensively with the issues.

Many complain (or even cried with so called  "fake tears") about the hardships Trump's  immigration ban has caused on refugees and travelers.  There were mistakes, as an intra-governmental review was not performed.  Repeat, these are TEMPORARY.  Hopefully this will push Congress to do something.

Money is usually a good answer, but many do not have the money.

The news videos of Syrian refugees showed many able-bodied young men walking  through Europe looking to resettle.  Such men are not only needed to rebuild Syria, they were needed to stay with their rebel brothers to fight Assad.

Why would I enjoy believing that?

Well creating a strawman gives you something to attack that actually doesn't apply.   I don't believe for a moment that most liberal leaning people would like to see violent criminals slapped on the wrist. Most would like to see them dealt with almost as harsh as the right, whether they be brown, black, or white.

I am left leaning on many issues.  I do confess that I am starting to push more toward the right after seeing how the left reacted and continue to react after this election.

Although formally more to the right, over the past couple years I've begun to push more toward the left after witnessing how the right has been acting. A saving grace for Trump is that it appeared he was going to be less war-interested than the typical republican.

Trump just took office.  I imagine he is working on the vetting while the travel hiatus is implemented.

You really think we have had decades of perfect security?  Didn't most of the 911 terrorists come here on student visa's?

We really don't have that much experience fighting the type of terrorist attacks we are seeing.

Over 15 years ago was 9/11...lots of time to make improvements.

We haven't been having many terrorist attacks actually.  Trump picked 7 countries, while leaving out some of the most critical ones.  That fact alone makes it seem obvious something else is at play here, perhaps it is politics and grandstanding. That is what it looks like.    It seems apparent to me that this step he took wasn't necessary, so I'm curious to see what unfolds in the months to come.

Many families sent on one member of the family to pave the way for their move  - as I said resourceful

President Donald Trump smashes record to get fastest majority disapproval rating ever

Might be a factor that he got 2.9 million less votes to become President and 'won' ...

Why do I need opinion of the Poms? Approval ratings go up and down.

I am loving what he is doing.

Latest - Make H1B visa holders earn a minimum of $130K. Love it. love it.

I am in IT. I am sick of the cheap labor imported from India that depressed my earning power. So many americans lost their jobs to H1B visa holders. They were made to train their replacements. I am sure Libs think that is perfectly OK.  :puke:

In 1998 for example, I was earning $130/hr. Now, nowhere near that. I have to compete against indians with phony resumes. Fuck all the tech giants who are going to cry a river. Fuck all libs.

Have a nice day.  ;D

It's actually unbelievable how much energy Trump has. As we speak, his AG pick is finally getting confirmed at the same time he's now tackling the pharmaceutical giants to bring drug prices down. He's been doing this almost every single day with wall street's fortune businesses.

Later today, he's naming his nomination for the SC.

The guy is not only living up to his campaign promises, he's literally doing it all in the first month in office. This time 8 years ago, Obama was still busy attending the 7th inauguration ball.

YUGE difference!

YUGE difference!

Well aside from the standard appointments, lets check back in a few months as to what actual progress is made and whether his policies stick or not.  I'm all for a bit of disruption in political circles but the beef has to follow.  Hope the reviews are better than the steak he put his name on...

$130 an hour in 1998 was a very tidy sum for a young man which I assume you were 20 years ago.  If you feel entitled to rest on your laurels and earn that much in most cases you are mistaken, unless your skills are truly tough to duplicate.  Many companies (Conservative or Liberal owned) can't turn a profit in the global market if they are paying their drones over $1000 a day in wages only, not to mention health insurance and benefits.   Rather than crying about the Indians who are willing to work for less, in our marketplace you have to constantly improve you marketability, which is what the free market is about.    Not that I can't relate, as I'm constantly competing with the Chinese, Armenians, Israeli's, Mexicans, who are always trying to outdo the pricing structure.  Can't blame them, the consumer often goes with who will do a good job for less, so I got to live up to that or I lose out on some money, which does happen.

I am not resting on my laurels. I train myself in the latest technologies even when my employer refuses to pay for my training. In 2016, I spent more than 7K to train myself to stay ahead of the H1Bs with phony resumes. I still make good living. Just not as good as in 1998.

News....when I was making $130/hr I was buying my own insurance and we got no benefits. We do that as contractors. We are not FTEs. Understand the difference.

Time has passed you by it seems.  :D

Yes. Different era, wallm. The IT boom/bust. I was dating a gal who was an executive recruiter and was making much more than you (no offense meant). For a good two years prior, all she was getting contracted to do was executive recruiting and placement in a multiplying 'new' companies. When she's almost done staffing these 'companies', it gets 'sold'. Then she starts over again. Crazy time. Rags to riches...

By the time Bush was inaugurated POTUS, IT bodies were strewn all over the place  and were being counted. She bailed the biz, and got her real estate license...yup, just in time for another crazy industrial madness...

By 2010, she bought herself a ranch in Oregon, opened a small salon and literally 'retired' at a very young age.

Yeah, I do, too. The news so far today is that Democrats walked out of the confirmation hearing and boycotted the confirmation of Mnuchin and Price. Treasury Sec / HHS respectively. Their beef is nonsensical and purely political. Donald will be aided to stay emboldened and stay firm on his conviction.

Two key nominees to jump start replacement of the current health care system. This exponentially delays replacement, which will be a fiscal suicide.

The problem with H1Bs is simple. Most of them have fake resumes with fake experience. They do not bring skills into America we don't have. I can wipe the floor with them. The system has been abused. The current minimum wage for them is $60K. How can experienced Americans compete with that? They are raising that bar now to $130K minimum for H1Bs. At least that is the proposal. Will employers now continue recruiting them over Americans? I don't think so. Moreover the proposal says 20% of the 85K per year are going to be reserved for small companies.

I don't like anything that puts my fellow Americans out of work, even if they are  insufferable Libs.  ;D

Well, a little less 'glamorous', that is exactly what is happening with our current illegal immigrant/ion problem. 'Cheap' labor isn't exactly 'passed' on to consumers, but rather pocketed by the elite. The very same elite who are rabidly anti-Trump today.

As for the gal, nah...very happy with my wife.  8)

Hardly a strawman.  I made a observation based on what I have been seeing from Europe and here.  Calling it a strawman won't make it go away.  ;)

I don't agree that a majority of liberal wants to see violent criminals put away.  If that was the case there wouldn't be any sanctuary cities allowing these criminals to be released over and over again when they do commit crimes.

From observation, many(subjective) liberals want to help others because it makes them feel good.  A noble jesture and I am guilty of it at times myself.  The problem, as I see it, is the feel good from helping others becomes more of an ideology that throws away reality.  Almost to the point of hurting themselves and those around them to catch that "high" so to speak.

Look at the links I posted if you don't understand what I mean.  Women apologizing for being raped is the most extreme that I have come across.

The usual rhetoric is "most immigrants and refugees are not bad people" which is a way of putting their heads in the sand regarding the group of violent people that are causing much chaos.  I also tend to agree most people are good people.  I won't pretend the small amount of very bad people are not causing a lot of destruction in their wake.

The amount of cognitive dissonance is astounding.

One of the reasons I voted for Trump was due to his view on going to war.  If I wanted a war hawk, I would have voted for Clinton.  You're right, many of the Republicans like McCain need to go.  I don't know why people are still voting for him.

Yet we are still seeing terrorist attacks happen all over the world.  It is becoming the norm and we are becoming desensitized to them.

I imagine if one of your loved ones was killed in a recent attack you wouldn't be saying there hasn't been that many attacks lately.  How many is too many for you?

Exactly. Most of the companies bringing in the H1B workers are Indian owned recruiting firms that want the 10-20% placement fee or a cut on the hourly wages. They gamed the system. They all lie about their skills and fail to complete projects or think for themselves.

Other than our current dev we refuse to hire anyone else from India or Bangladesh anymore.

I have no idea how you could believe such rubbish.  Of course most people liberal or conservative want violent criminals completely out of circulation.  It may become an issue of money spent on incarnation, more than anything, and I don't know if that is a liberal or conservative problem.   We should have enough prisons for violent offenders, and let some of the relatively harmless drug offenders house themselves somewhere else.

Yet we are still seeing terrorist attacks happen all over the world.  It is becoming the norm and we are becoming desensitized to them.

I imagine if one of your loved ones was killed in a recent attack you wouldn't be saying there hasn't been that many attacks lately.  How many is too many for you?

Under Obama we didn't have any major attacks on the home turf, so something has been working on that level.  If Trump wants to improve security, I'm for it of course, the way he is going about it appears to be about something else though.  Clearly leaving major terrorist hubs off his list says something.

I was going to post a tape of that nature would probably increase Trump's voter popularity by 50% :P

Brass

Good timing.

@CNN has spearheaded an online/public solicitation looking for anti-Trump stories to come forward and share how the travel ban impacted them and their family's lives. Material for the consumption of the numbnut minions.

A growing counter social media alert had sprung against this attempt by @CNN and are showing support for MAGA #AmericaFirst #Viral

Still 130 an hour is a huge burden on companies, 8 hours in a workday is over $1000 a day.  If they are to compete worldwide, that may be too much to pay.  If you want to earn more, then you have to produce and if what you feel are poorly trained bs'ing indians are getting the jobs, then our companies would see poor results and want you and your higher salary.  Apparently the poorly trained Indians are doing an adequate job.  How is that a liberal issue? Don't conservative companies use the same system?
