I don't show everyone pictures of my wife to show how important I am and then raise the issue of why she does not wear a  wedding ring.   

Some people thank me for sharing pics of my family. You want to spank me as if I'm doing an awful thing. I didn't bring up the issue why my wife doesn't wear a wedding ring in most of the photos you've seen. It was you and a few others that brought up the issue and spreading rumor the relationship doesn't exist.

Because you were so obtuse that you missed it, I purposely created the blog so that she had direct understanding of my thinking.  Increasing communication, especially with a major language barrier, only increases chances of a relationship's success.  There is down time in any endeavor like this and organizing your thoughts through writing, whether published or not, should benefit you.

This is the first time I see you recommending writing a blog to increase chances of relationship success. Many men have accomplished success without a blog. You could've done the same too.

  And as an additional note, your post was the only one that PB singled out, wondering about who you were.

You say that as if it was a bad thing. The lady has access to the forum. Can she speak her mind freely? This will be my last post in your trip report thread since I see you want to take it in the direction of a mud slinging contest. You can ruin your wonderful thing. I don't want the blame.

When I started reading the above --I immediately thought --no -you are wrong on this.That was my immediate recollection.
I know there were a few of us at one time ( & Jone time on forum is approx contemporary with mine)  who did side with you over Ade sniping ( & where is he now!! should be out of the nappy mire by now !!)

Keep posting -- I don't disagree with the tenor of your point -- and it is one worth mentioning.A major point of the forum is to air different ways of looking at things .

Jone and any OP of a trip report thread has the right to change the direction of their thread. I can see Jone wants to take his thread in a different direction so I'll let him do it on his own.

btw you know I often enough disagree with you --on lot's of issues -- but as I said-- the forum members have different thinking processes.

Billy --I am writing reply here for the record -- the link you sent is fun to read again !! ( sorry BB) .
Jone comments were way down at the soft end  --   and not aimed at being hurtful . 
What the link did show is the bet I referred to-- and the accusers wriggling at being confronted at his lie about you.
If you read it --- a lot of people weighed in to support you.
I am not big on forgetting and forgiving -- but even I chose to not go over EVERY piece of old ground . In the link you sent--I refer to how I was called a liar when I first came to the forum -- and one of those posters is here today on this forum -- and has never recanted or apologised -- but continued often posting at me in derogatory terms ( even though --if others were making a judgement-- would say we are basically on the same side of a few very major issues). I have chosen to not reply to his trolling and baiting-- simply not bother and move on.

Funny how a few points in jone post has some current relevancy --on a few issues !!

If there is to be some wager, do not make it for an outspoken amount of money, but something that clearly embarrasses the loser to not indulge in such behavior in the future.

Having read these forums for over a year now, I can readily understand someone's reluctance to post information on such a forum and sometimes question the sanity of those that do.  It has been proven, again and again, that information consigned to an internet forum can be used against you - again and again.  Billy should be congratulated because he is willing to step up and show aspects of his life that do not need to be shared, but he does so out of pride and a willingness to assist others.

Post #230 in the link below. He never said he was kidding or agreed with Calmissile. He decided to lump himself in with the group Ade was in which spread rumors and innuendo. In his current trip report he says I show my family's photos to show everybody here how important I am and say my posts are baloney. You're going to stick up for him on that too? He had a hard on for me back then. It's clear he's still got a hard on for me now. Don't speak for him. Let him fight his own battles....especially the ones he created.

Well, in putting up a previous quote from a couple of years ago about Billy, one part remains true.  I could care less.  I am happy for anyone in a successful marriage if that is what he has.  And I would like to take this time to apologize for a post I made a couple of years ago to Billy, citing his age and the age of his bride.

My vitriolic response to Billy on his comments on the trip report was based on how he presented his argument. Jay made the same argument, but without self aggrandizement.  Not that my actions had risk.  They did.  And the forum benefited from it.   But I knew that someone like PB had both class and sophistication.  And would understand my blog as a means to channel additional communication.  (She thinks I am a compulsive writer.)

To be specific, Billy came on a trip thread said how not to do something that I had done (which the forum grants him license).  But then he proceeded to explain how it was okay for him to do something which he is remonstrating.  In other words putting himself above my actions which he claims license to also do.  That will get you a kick in the cajones every time.  Perhaps he is not smart enough to figure that out.  That is the primary reason I typically have not interacted with BillyB on this forum.  For the most part, I just don't care.

Using the ole apology then criticize technique. Does it ever work like make someone feel good and feel bad a the same time? Choose one or the other, not both in the same post since it makes the apology look like a sweetener before the attack.

Next time you want to insult somebody, have the courtesy to do it outside a trip report thread so their responses don't get moved while your insults remain. You still can modify your posts but me thinks you don't want to.

If your memory gets you to believe that you said something completely opposite of what you actually said two years ago, you need to fix your faulty memory. That will get you in a lot of trouble with people who are going to live with you. Doesn't bother me because I won't live with you. What did bother me is that you recently said you defended my marriage when in fact you added fuel to the rumor mill fire. For years I put up with people who said I made shit up. Those that criticized me made shit up. Funny world we live in.

When I said writing a blog about a lady you're meeting for the first time and disclosing it can't help you but hurt you, it makes sense. It's not an insult. You have thin skin. You didn't know you lady well enough to know how she'd react to your blog. You relied on luck and luck came through for you.

You caught the woman and right now you're on top of the world, feeling invincible and you can't do wrong. Doesn't make what I said not true. A lot of guys here put all their eggs in one basket. They have no options. Spending thousands of dollars and precious vacation time just to visit one girl. Do you think they should gamble everything over a tell all blog?

A tear runs down my cheek. You've confirmed the apology you offered earlier was insincere. Meant nothing except for a lame attempt to make you look like a gentleman who can apologize when wrong.

I see you didn't take the time to modify the deceptive post in your trip report thread or at least ask a moderator to delete it. You know the one where you said you stood up for me and never called my marriage fake. It wouldn't be so bad if I were able to respond to it but you know my response will get moved. Why keep the lie? It makes you look like a hero in front of new readers and your lady? To those that know or read off topic threads like this one, it'll reinforce their belief you're a liar.

I also see you're not going to continue with your trip report. You want your trip report drama free, don't start with insults. You take a shot at somebody, they'll take a shot at you. That's how the world works. Fortunately for you, in the trip report section you got protection. Your insults get to remain, responses don't. Did you write the trip report for yourself or the people here? Your feelings are hurt and coupled with embarrassment, you decide to back out. Grow a set of balls. I had to put up with people like you for years questioning my marriage, making snide and harassing remarks and I didn't stop posting about my family life. I didn't even ask the moderators to step in to punish or ban anybody or even delete their posts. I'm a big boy and can take care of myself.

A few RW here said my wife is the most beautiful wife they've ever seen out of these international marriages. If I married an average looking woman, I wouldn't have had all the aggravation. Some men just can't handle when another guy gets a better deal than themselves so they lash out. Figure out why some guys catch winners.

Moby is right, very disappointing and you missed a chance to man up. You decided to keep a lie that makes you look like my hero, for a post while claiming I have bad memory. You verified your lame attempt at an apology was insincere. You made yourself look emotionally weak for not finishing a trip report that a lot of people wanted to read. Punishing them by not finishing the report isn't going to punish me.

You and I can continue to coexist here. I won't post in your trip report but if you insult me again, I will remind you of the man you are and you're not going to like it. Good luck....to the person who marries you.
