My wife and I have been married now for 8 years but have now run into a new problem. At least for me. All this time she goes back to see her family and make the rounds of her doctors for checkups. But this year they found something and we have a serious medical problem, In fact she has surgery for it but I am very unhappy with their procedures. Even her Dr, agreed and suggested a person he believed.


Those of you who have been around for a while will understand what I am talking about. I have used Money Gram before because she likes them and their offices are close by and inside a bank building. So this year I sent a much larger amount than usual. After two days she called and said they won't give it to her. I phoned offices and official said he can check previous amounts - No. Offered wedding pictures and more. Nope- she is a scammer. They did return our money but kept the fees. Woman who is in cage can look out her window and see bank I deal with and I have references up the ying yang but these are not her decisions.


Of course I used Western Union next and still had small problem with them but deal did go through.


I guess I will be sending more soon so I am open to ideas.

Get her an ATM card over there?  Why wouldn't she have one already?

Russia or Ukraine?

If Russia bank wire might be easier/cheaper.

When I travel overseas, I call my bank and let them know that I will be using a debit card over there and I pre-authorize usage.  I can buy airline tickets, whatever, once I do that.  You could be distributing $5000 a day to Russia without significant delays and minimal fees (although the exchange rate isn't perfect).
