I am assured she will get it by several people who have done this in the past. It is not as difficult as in the past they tell me and there are ways around it if need be.

If there's a way around it, let us know which interviewer at the American Consulate can be bought. I got my Congressman involved to help get my MIL a tourist visa and even he couldn't tell them how to do their job. What he wrote was a letter recommending my MIL being a good candidate for a tourist visa.

Recruiter - good luck with the tourist visa.
While it could be granted, it's highly improbable considering the scenario.

They are based on many factors but a critical one fir ukraine is the applicants likely hood of returning to their country,  honoring the terms of
the visa and it's time frames.

She's a young woman, with no substantial ties to Ukraine,  and a boyfriend in the US.

The consulate officers  (my friend is one) see this all thectime, and every shenanigan to circumvent the process, or family based visas.
They do this stuff day in day out.

Her situation is about as high risk to returning in the visas time frame as it can be.

It may be issued ,but if everything is out on the table, I can't imagine an officer not raising an eyebrow.

It would certainly not involve the government. They are hands down the most incompetent people in the nation. Like I said, there are many ways.

Strange, because there are many young Russians and Ukrainian women in the area that had no issues at all. Their situation is no different.

Happy to assist.

All rw-recruiter is saying is, he figured out a way to navigate around the US immigration pain by buying his gal a bass boat (with or without a fish finder) and having it delivered to the Bahamas.

From there, all the gal had to do is row herself to the shores of Miami, which is only about 50 miles away. Then Bwalla! Welcome to the USofA!

rw_recruiter, most people here would not recommend you smuggling your girl into America from those islands just for a short visit to see if she likes to live with you in America. If she gets caught, it could harm her ability to come into America for a long time. There is also a risk you're taking if it is found out that you paid for the smuggling operation.

Some men here started k-1 visa, not to get married but as a trial period to get to know each other and for their woman so they can learn if they could live together in America. You start a k-1 and you both have 90 days to figure it out. If she doesn't like it, you don't have to get married and she can go back to Ukraine.

Definitely a fish finder. How is she going to eat otherwise?

Bimini to the Boca Raton inlet is 66 miles. Nobody to bother you on re-entry. We do it all the time. Too many eyes on Miami.

Just looked the the K1. You have got to be kidding. Not interested in going through that nonsense.

I did not say impossible.

I did say improbable.

Russian single woman tourist visa  since the fall of the Soviet gov,has traditionally  been easier than same scenario for a Ukrainian woman.

The Ukrainians in my area (and there are a lot)are not here on tourists visas.

If you are certain the ones in your area are, and not work or student visas ok.
But I know a LOT  of temp work visas are issued for fla area ,resort workers and cruise workers.so a lot of young slavic people in fla are on work visas.

If I could have obtained a tourist visa for  my now wife,  I would have.
Odds when speaking with my consulate friend, were at about zero.
She was 28 ,from nikoleave uk.
Rented home.decent job with the oblast.
Pretty similar situation.

I do wish you good luck, I hope its approved.

You can jet ski from bimini, but lol not a good way to bring your gf for a visit .

My  gf (wife) did vaca in several caribee locations, dr,mexico, etc but I woukd never risk her immigration or legal status by sneaking her in.lol

And please, while I appreciate the sentiment of just dating and seeing where it goes.as that's best.
.
Let's not make it like the k1 process is difficult.

The k1 is so easy, even a caveman could do it, and some do!
Might as well he the 1040ez tax form.

You ever notice people always tell you they win at the casino or stock market but never tell you about how they lose? People tried to smuggle illegals through Bimini and lost. If you can figure out how to smuggle people through Bimini, so did smugglers who do this for a living and so did immigration who catches smugglers for a living. You can find stories like the ones below about Bimini all over the internet.

Hah! Simple enough. Execute what your handle implies. H1-B. Cheaper than a 16 footer Crestliner, I say...

May I ask how long ago that was? I know MANY RW here on tourist VISA's Jumper. Much more common than work or student in Florida. We are a tourism hub.

Jesus Christ man. Get a hold of yourself  :)

Those are all Haitians, they stick out like a sore thumb man. And try to land MUCH further South than we are. Lotta coastline here.

Yes, although not as fun, an easy solution for me. A sixteen footer would never make the trip in the seas  ;)
We prefer deep hulled Seavees, 32 foot minimum.

It was 7 years, ago, but not much has changed regarding the issuance of a tourust visa,to a single late twenties Ukrainian woman, with few ties to the home country, and a boyfriend in the US.

As far as the term RW , it encompasses a lot here .

Chicago isn't as touristy as fla,  but it is a tourist prone city.
We have plenty of slavic country tourists, particularly Russian, lithuanian, polish, serbian, croatian, but not specifically young  Ukrainian women.
Single Ukrainian woman here, are typically on a temp work visa, in IT fields as you know, or au par,(also very popular) or hotel  etc workers, also possible student visa.seldom tourist.

If they are in fla, cool, and the system may very well grant a Disney destination as example, as it being more plausible, than a Chicago destination.

I'm certainly not raining on your parade.I'm happy for you.

As GQ mentioned,  you have at your disposal a far easier way, regardless.

I could have gotten  my wife a job, pretty easily, and likely a work visa.
If, I had left out any information tying us romatically.
That did not seem the best option for us, but it was there.

Again, good luck.I hope it's granted and you guys can continue to just explore your relationship and see where it goes.

Who's "we". You and your partners do this for a living?

All the time Billy. Square groupers. Cmon man, my buddies with boats.

I understand you don't live here and navigate the waters. Look at a map of Florida, the Bahamas, and Haiti? Look at the route they need to take to get to the US. Now look at West End, Grand Bahama to Boca Raton. You come into the inlet a Coast Guard boat pulls up -

"Are you drunk? Any illegal fish? Ho many life jackets onboard? All set, have a good day sir."  And you drive right up to a house and dock your boat. It's that simple.

If they are in fla, cool, and the system may very well grant a Disney destination as example, as it being more plausible, than a Chicago destination.

Again, good luck.I hope it's granted and you guys can continue to just explore your relationship and see where it goes.

Bingo. Disney, Miami Beach, Orlando, Keys, cruise ships, etc. Many good reasons here. Anyways, thank you and will update everyone.

Haha I can imagine it might play into the decision.

In retrospect i should have done similar, prior to engagement  and booked a Disney vaca package for her, including a trip to Marco Island or the keys.
Just to give her a taste of the culture, and add in a visit to my home.
Not that it matters as she loved pretty much everything here anyway, and adapted like a fish to water.

Had to look that up. Pot smuggling.

From the few busts I've read, investigators are watching illegals board a boat before it sails off then radios their men on the other side to look for that boat should it enter into US waters. The bust comes later.

You're probably right that you won't get caught but you're risking jail time for yourself and your girl. I wouldn't put my girl in that situation.

What do you mean can never make the trip? A Cuban family of 12 can make it comfortably across on a single inner tube.  :P

Seriously though, good luck.

There are many ways Billy. Radar, interceptor craft, paid informants at the exit port, planes flying overhead, etc. They are looking for drugs or people of a certain nationality. When the Coast Guard pull a boat over they only speak to a captain. A young, white blonde is the last thing they are looking for. No risk really. That's how safe our borders are.

So my red headed white girlfriend is a no-go?
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.
