Will Japan Get Fed Up With No. Korea?
« on: September 15, 2017, 01:16:58 PM »
NoKo fired another missile over the Japanese homeland.

Quote
The latest missile test by North Korea, one of its furthest-reaching yet, has split world powers who united behind new UN sanctions just days ago.
The US said all nations had "to address this problem short of war", hours after saying the burden of response should fall on China and Russia.
China accused the US of shirking its own responsibility, while Russia condemned US rhetoric as "aggressive" .
The missile fired over Japan had the range to hit the US territory of Guam.

Japan would not really need any alliance to take out the problem...

Japan's military is superiors to N Korea's but...............N Korea has nukes and can do a lot of damage to civilians and Japan's economy. Would you put up with a hostile neighbor shooting over your head? No, we'd take action even if it's to call the police but Japan has to live with this since there's nobody to call.

Quite the irony now that Korea has the upper hand over Japan.

I understand the history and get the irony - but not sure of the 'upper hand' part ...   IF the missiles look like actually targeting Japan - do you think they'd make it ?

The Japanese air force is MORE than a match - esp if the defence systems of NK are down

N. Korea has the upper hand here because they can quickly kill millions of people in S. Korea.

And the N. Korea leaders don't mind if a million people get killed in N. Korea.

Yeah, and the Chinese know that.  And realize how much Trump is painting himself into a corner.  All the Chinese need to do is sit on their hands and Trump will provide them with a huge foreign policy victory.

Japan today said their done with decades worth of talking to North Korea. They are with Trump when he said all options are being considered. North Korea's chances of getting bombed just went up.

It is not about perfected -- they have. That can be delivered a lot of different ways/
What it seems they have not perfected( yet) is the miniaturisation to allow being used on a missile of the ICBM type

That is not likely to take much longer now with the help from Russia.

Trump's incessant barking is going to get a lot of people killed.  He now is being called a dotard which is not too far off of the truth.  North Korea may now choose to launch over the ocean, similar to what the US did with all the atomic tests decades ago.    Of course it was ok for us to do that, but a capital offense if North Korea does the same!

Whatever happened to all that jive about 'making america great again' and focusing on issues at home?

North Korea could test hydrogen bomb over Pacific Ocean, says foreign minister

North Korea's foreign minister warned Thursday that Pyongyang could test a powerful nuclear weapon over the Pacific Ocean in response to US President Donald Trump's threats of military action.

The country's Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, who was due to address the United Nations General Assembly on Friday but has since dropped out, told reporters in New York that the ultimate decision, however, was up to his boss, Kim Jong Un.
"This could probably mean the strongest hydrogen bomb test over the Pacific Ocean. Regarding which measures to take, I don't really know since it is what Kim Jong Un does," said Ri.
Ri's comments came shortly after Kim said that Trump would "pay dearly" for threatening to "totally destroy" North Korea during his UN speech Tuesday.
In a rare direct statement, Kim said he "will consider with seriousness exercising of a corresponding, highest level of hard-line countermeasure in history."....
