Angel Eyes, knows that if I start rubbing cream on anything below my belly button
that I will soon be chasing her around the house with her panties on my head, which
apparently is bad when we have company over.

This is me from the neck up, I photoshopped the lower part.

Also those weren't Angel Eyes panties, I wasn't allowed to photograph them,
these were the closest that I could find.

Thanks Anotherkiwi! Ah btw just curious, are you an Aussie or based in NZ?

That's like driving a stake through my heart!  :naughty:

How could you possibly consider anyone with "Kiwi" in their name to be Australian?  Especially since my flag is that of the Land of the Long White Cloud, NOT Convicts 'R' Us!  :cheesy:

Blimey, if you guys are aware of how much cheap oil and gas Russia has amongst other resources, it's a wonder why their country isn't as rich (GDP-wise) as the U.S! The potential has always been there and there's practically no reason why it can't in the future.

Can't be that large of a country and be prosperous based off a few natural resources. Venezuela has more natural resources per square km than Russia does and they're hurting.

A few years ago, one way Obama punished Russia was making a deal with Saudi Arabia to get them to increase their output. It helped America's economy and cut into Russia's profits. There's a cost to extract fossil fuels and if Russia is spending near what it costs to sell the product, they can't get rich.

Indeed it's an option that I've given some thought to beforehand. Either way, I do wonder how UK degrees fare in the FSU, though undoubtedly my previous internship experience with oil majors could potentially help.

No reason? Have you noticed that Russia is doing it's best to be a pariah state?
Have you noticed that Russia has invaded Ukraine with many good Ukrainian lives been lost and millions displaced people, the whole population being severely economically affected .

For Venezuela, well...long story short, let's just say there are different grades of oil reservoirs and that quality of oil in the oil reservoirs can differ drastically depending on where they are found and how the oil was trapped. Most of Venezuelan oil is heavy oil (still much better quality than the Canadian Oil Sands where you have to essentially cook them to squeeze out what little oil are in those tar sands), but this quality of oil does not flow well (permeability sucks) and pales in comparison to what Russia's oil reserves are made up of which are much lighter and sweeter (less toxic sulfur and other heavy metals to process) and this, alone is the reason why Russia's oil has been much more profitable to produce than Venezuelan oil, a fact that has been exacerbated by the drastic drop in the global crude oil price benchmark. Of course many corrupt upper and middle management exist and they try their best to milk the companies' profits through various legal or illegal machinations which inevitably affects the companies' break-even oil price and profitability. Of course, the nationalisation of Venezuelan oil companies have made the situation much worse in the long run. Russia was at least smart enough to retain "western expertise".

No matter how smart you are, you simply can't overcome geology with any technology. Law of nature prevails.

Ah Saudi Arabia, why do we need conspiracy theories for so many things? I believe Saudi Arabia, as well as the U.S, and other oil producing nations never really wanted this. Instead all were jumping on the band-wagon of ever-increasing oil prices (largely motivated by increasing demand for crude oil globally from developing countries like China and India). There were rosy projections of even $150 to $200 per barrel oil prices as recently as the past decade. This led to a huge shale oil "financial bubble" enticing investors to make cheap capital accessible for expanding number of shale oil producers in the US that would never have made any sense had oil even been in the $60 mark. I guess this happened because, well, one of the greatest strengths of the US has always been its capital markets.

So in actual fact, the U.S investors are mainly to blame for creating this oil glut.

I have interned as reservoir engineer and petrophysicist, so I think it's fair to say I am familiar with the oil story to a certain extent.
Sincerely,
Kyn

Most of Russia is exactly the same as it was at the time of Tolstoy's death in 1910.
You should bring a buggy whip, a vodka flask and a basic medial bag for emergencies
like the one below. (You have to put it in your checked bag, not in your carryon)
I hear tell that mercury is excellent for bouts of the vapors.

Note this boy has his tongue in his cheek

There are marriage agencies, if you are dealing with them then you are going
the MOB route. There is an industry in Odessa, Kiev and Nikolaev that is designed
to help old farts meet pretty young girls so they can get ALL your cash. They don't
really care or even want you to get married so you should avoid these cities and
this industry.

You are a youngster so you should meet girls in person and by using social networking.
If I were still single, I would do the same even though I am older than dirt.

Darn....  :cluebat: obviously I do have a lot to learn about Russian culture.

It's when majority of your time is spent staring at computer screen trying to decipher what did she mean with the help of google translate, ogling photoshopped profile pictures and generally fantasising calling someone who is as clueless about you as you are about her a 'girlfriend ' as opposed to actually going out every weekend, meeting up with parents during festive seasons, catching up after school work, doing shopping together and actually having sex as much as you like....

Your choice.

:applause: I see the difference now

By the way, Ranetka, how do you feel about long distance relationships?  Have you ever been in one? How important do you think physical intimacy is in the courtship phase of a relationship?

I thought SA heigthened their production to tame the fracking production in the US. Succeeded too by forcing frackers to shutdown and many of which went BK.

But que sera sera.

Did SA's compliance earned them the reward from Obama when he made that deal with Iran? I'm sure SA was tickled pink by that.

Exactly, partly because SA was also caught in the global oil commodities bubble, oil co engineers were earning buckets and flying business class etc etc. How lucky to be working in the oil heydays  :'(

Hence I never really put much faith in conspiracy theories. I think it's much clearer to think of U.S putting their commercial interests before anything else eg. selling weapons worth in the 100s of billions to Saudi Arabia (of course F-22 still isn't for sale  )

It's pretty simple mate - virtual intimacy before you meet in reality is surely B zarre ..?  In my experience we talked in riddles and innuendo - until meeting in reality ..

Bear in mind I'm not of the same generation and you are probably laughing, now

Would SA hurt their profit margin before fracking companies could hurt their profit margin? Kind of like shooting yourself before your enemy does it. If fracking companies increased output too much, they would lower the price of oil putting themselves out of business without SA's help since SA extracts oil out of the ground much cheaper.

Right after America slapped sanctions on Russia, Obama knew lowering oil prices would hurt Russia more than sanctions. SA also had an interest to hurt their arch rival, Iran who greatly benefits from oil sales. Iran and Russia were also supporting Syria, another nation SA would like to see change leaders so lowering oil prices was the one best thing SA could do to weaken those countries.

Hence I never really put much faith in conspiracy theories.

Facts aren't conspiracy theories. All this stuff was talked about before Obama's visit to SA. Also by lowering oil prices, it hurt ISIS's profits which sold Syrian oil to finance it's operations. SA keeping oil prices high helps their rivals become more lethal which threatens their existence.

Hhhmm, I see...

You sure it wasn't because of the prospect of having to deal with the reality of rising shale oil, oil sands and all other non-OPEC boom market and its affect on future global oil demand, eh.

It was all instead because Obama was so smart to convince SA to help him hurt Russia, because Russia 'bad'. I see...

Okidokee then...

Sigh, I NEVER said that Russian economy WILL EVENTUALLY be on par with the US.  :deadhorse:

I simply observed the fact that Russia has always had the potential. Whether or not they eventually realise this potential entirely depends on whether, first and foremost the aristocracy stop siphoning their wealth to offshore institutions (eg. buying expensive mansions in the UK etc) and instead use that wealth to re-invest back into Russia like what China did amongst other issues like the "rule of law". As such, I reiterate that there is practically no reason why Russia can't be as rich as the US in the future. Given the right tweaks, more than possible.

I believe long distance relationships can work, but I think the individuals must be truly committed to one another. Most people can't handle this aspect.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

Hmm, however would that actually mean on the flip side, that people who have survived the perilous long distance relationship phase will eventually form an unusually strong bond in their post-wedding relationship? Sort-of like baptism of fire (having gone through so many obstacles) before finally moving in together? Or actually nothing's a guarantee?

Alright Billy  :P , since you insist so much, that the purpose of SA increasing production is to increase the oil supply to hurt Iran, Syria & Russia, then I'll indulge you by putting your nice theory to the test by looking at the facts and then let's see if it makes any sense.

Let's look at percentage of Gov Oil Revenue from petroleum extraction:
Iran: 55%
Russia: 37.4%
Syria: 25.1%
Saudi Arabia: 92.5%!!!

If SA wants to do hurt, it is shooting its own foot more than shooting the foot of others. Hypothetical SA policy of hurt fails Economics 101.

Ok, say Saudi cooperated with USA to initiate this "hurt policy" and in return Saudi got benefits to balance out their own DRASTIC loss of income. But where are the great deals?
1. Saudi purchasing 100s of billions in arms from USA? Benefit goes to USA, not Saudi
2. Saudi borrowing money and selling bonds for fiscal measures? Good for Outside investors, not Saudi
3. USA lifting oil embargo (sanctions) on Iran since last year due to uranium deal? Good for Iran, not good for Saudi? Why the heck is USA helping Iran now? double-standards?

Either USA has very incompetent bureaucrats  who never bothered to consult expert economists to implement such a counter-productive sanction that inevitably hurts SA more and SA has very incompetent bureaucrats who are getting screwed in so many deals  :o , or it was actually because no parties actually ever anticipated this to happen a.k.a oil commodities bubble as my previous post hinted on, when everyone jumped on the oil bandwagon on the assumption that oil prices will keep rising forever due to thirsty growing China demand which led to over-investment.

From the evidence, I would wager the latter explanation.

Bear in mind I'm not of the same generation and you are probably laughing, now

Actually I'm rather intrigued!  ;) One certainly wonders how the UK dating scene has actually evolved throughout the decades :D

I find the lasses in their twenties today either too career-obsessed or sex-obsessed especially those in the cities. Not that it surprises me since majority of people at my age range to a certain extent seem to have so little patience for....practically everything?
Sincerely,
Kyn
