I must've missed the memo. I just wrote to a bunch of clearly listed prostitutes in Ukraine online at Mamba telling them I'm in Kiev and would like to meet. They replied they can meet. Cost is around $100 and up. Lots of other Ukrainian people online too.

Lots of FSU women say most men there are looking for sex. Even our own Aloe here said she thinks 99% of the men contacting her are wanting to get into her pants. But it's almost reversed that most women on Mamba are looking for serious relations. The prostitutes log on often and those who have the most action on Mamba get their profile to be the first few pages and can lead a guy to believe a large amount of women there are prostitutes when that is not true. Women with a life and real jobs log on and off quickly and getting shuffled to the back.

Any site a woman signs up for, they know guys want sex. They understand they have to distinguish the good guy from the bad. You seem to hold onto the belief most women at Mamba are bad when every guy here who used it says otherwise.

As for other Ukrainian people being online on Mamba, there could be all sorts of reasons for this, starting with them not actually being in Ukraine itself.  But isn't Ukraine supposed to be the kingdom of hackers?  Presumably many have found ways to circumvent blocked websites.

Not directly on your point here --but -

It is obvious that a determined attempt to circumvent Ukrainian law is possible to get access to banned sites-- some I know do that to access social media sites .

However -- very large numbers understand the reasons behind the ban extremely well  and respect that.

If you go to Mamba, you can see when the last time someone logged on. Plenty of 60, 70, and 80 year old women logged on today. Although Ukraine has their fair share of professional hackers, I doubt every woman there is a pro hacker or willing to hack a site in order to have a better chance to meet a guy.

They don’t have to hack, just use a proxy server. Our kids could do this when they were 8 and 9, so it’s not difficult.

You must have misread in that case, too    I was demonstrating that you couldn't access many RU sites !

1/ As Boethuis points out - circumventing the ban is EASY - hardly 'determined'

2/ PLENTY of Ukrainians have relatives in Russia and communicate using Russian platforms without necessarily supporting Moscow

I've never used marriage agencies but I do know dating sites, Mamba in particular, you can get a date with sincere women, not prostitutes, within minutes of communicating with them. You can get multiple dates in a day. The only drawback with the place is while you're in the FSU, you need to remember the girls you're getting dates with most likely were looking for local boys. It may be harder to convince them to move to your country should things get serious. Bride.ru advertises there and some girls considering marrying a foreign man will sign up on Bride.ru. Less girls are singing up there and at marriage agencies. Some people believe it has to do with improved economies in the FSU. In the last few years Ukraine's economy has tanked and I didn't see or read about a huge spike in women signing up at sites to leave the country. I'm tending to believe a lot of women have learned, based off personal experience, someone else's experience or a jaded media, that a lot of foreign men looking for brides are losers and less likely to sign up. So if you're a winner, you won't have much competition, and you will do well with the ladies in the FSU.


Thanks to Sandro, my thread with my local dating experiences on Mamba has been found. Long read but you'll either like it or hate me. Those are two reasons people kept reading.

There is no best or perfect site and they tend to change and advice on which ones
to use tends to expire. I would recommend trying a couple and seeing what works
best for you.

Always stay away from pay by the letter or pay to chat sites.
