Im under 36,  and I speak some russian.  Admittedly not much, but enough to hold a very small conversation.  I just think she seems more trouble than shes worth, and pre-qualifying her B1tchy attitude.  And thats cool.  Im not gonna say btw shes ugly or anything.  Im just not that into blonds (In fact Ive never once dated one in my life).  I do undestand your basic meaning though.

I'm not sure of being over 36 is qualified one for "duffer" status. Yes, she is pretty, but that does not mean that she would not be a handful, emotionally, for any guy who did not have what might be the equivalant to a Master's Degree in female relationships. The other thing that I was thinking is that all of that talk could be a smoke screen written by a woman is exactly opposite of what she professes to be. A defense, if you will.

The profile WAS written tongue-in-cheek, IMHO.  There was that word in Russian in there, I was unfamiliar with that word so I asked the wife about it.  It seems even a Russian can have a tiny bit of trouble with an accurate translation but at the same time instantly understand it's meaning.  I gather the nuance with the use of that word means to not take her words too seriously.  I can't think of an English equivalent, but it's a play on words.  The girl was not in a serious mood, or was in a playful mind-set when she wrote that profile.

However, it is also clear that she is not part of that pool of beautiful young wmen who will happily marry a fat man man twice her age in order to escape a desperate situation at home, she has somehow already done that.  Frankly, that would be my only question to her: "How did you achieve your immigration status?"  If she came up with a satisfactory answer to that one a man might find a diamond in Miami.

In this girl's case I think that it is highly unlikely that she arrived as a step-daughter.  She'd 26 y.o., she would have to have been under 18-21 y.o. at the time of immigration to qualify as a K-2 or K-4, and I'd think there would have been plenty of time for her to learn English til now.   You have to remember, Dima, (my step-son) was only 15 when my wife and I got married, and he had already been here on the student visa for high school before that.  No, I suspect this young woman arrived here under other circumstances.  Hence my question about how she achieved her immigration status.

As Peewee said just been over the age of 36 does not mean we are duffers because this woman is not our type and we do not think she is stunning!

As I said to Jack personally, looking her photos, I do not find her attractive. I have seen hundreds or 1000 more attractive women in Ukraine who were really attractive.

On the other hand not every man of mature age is vain and is looking for an arm candy to show off to other men what he is got in his arm! Many of us are looking to find a woman who will like us for what we are as persons and not for what we can offer her in material benefits.

Many men are happy finding a trophy wife and don't care if she likes them or not where others are looking to make a real happy family.

My observations are that is is very common for an FSU women to be much more particular once they are here.  I am sure a lot of the things we do are based on our concept of what we believe we can do.   Many of the gals know she will have a harder time getting someone to travel around the world to meet her than going to Miami for instace.  No matter who thinks she is attractive or not I am sure she will not have a problem finding a date for Saturday night.  She could put on 150 pounds and have three kids and  still find a date for Saturday night here.  Sad isn't it.

Bruno, this whole board is about paranoia. That is being careful and not getting scammed. I am taking some good advice given to me a while back by KenC and enjoying being single.

I don't think so. I think she's telling the truth and a man shouldn't be crying if he did indeed date/marry her and find out she's all she said of herself. She's on a dating site for the public to see. It's a right to have an opinion of someones looks and criticize the profile they post for the public. I for one don't look at all profiles as potentially wonderful. I laugh at some and cringe at others. That's normal behavior. Heck, the woman in question might think the men here are shallow, live in the slow lane, boring and too simple for her lifestyle thus created a profile to turn us off.
