Suicide?

Did the pilot accused by the Kremlin of shooting down MH17 (the Boeing 777) over E.Ukraine using a slow ground support aircraft incapable of flying as fast or high enough (esp.when armed) commit suicide?

I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it:

Maybe PTSD. I know many vets that struggle with it and become suicidal. My brother who served several tours wrestles with it now and then.

Or maybe Putins men paid him a visit. Not as likely if his wife was in the same apartment imo.
