E-visas for Ukraine

for australians a visa is a constant issue

this at least may make it quicker and easier , i have to say though over the last 8 years or so i have found visa applications and ukraines border control has  gotten much more visitor friendly and welcoming

Yeah --  it was actually news to me when you posted !
My visa is longer term and not due for renewal for some time -- so had not looked for a while.
There have been ongoing changes to system over last 2 years -- and I had not followed up.

It looks a lot easier ( the linked link to story goes nowhere when I tried to use it!) and not being without your passport for weeks and playing Russian Roulette with the mail system returning it in time is not something I would miss !!
There has been changes to other long term visas and now I am wondering if they all still apply !
The problem with recent visa on arrival it only allowed 2 weeks -- so that is the first query I have with new e-visa.

Previously in AUS they quoted 28 days to issue -- and a multiple for shorter issuance time. The embassies approach to "customers" is/was very Ukrainian !!

BTW- LAman -- you make sure you get your Ukraine visa to go to Krim !!


ADDED LATER : looking at application form there is a question re Crimea --maybe best to have Ukraine permission to enter?

There is nothing anywhere where one can know if or if not visiting Krim, only shows visa and stamps for airport entry.!!

BTW- Americans don't need visa to visit 'Ukraine' ....past or present!!

You will after you go to Crimea !!!!!!!!!!!!!
