Fiorella -

Just for the record:

She contacted me and I continued the conversation. Without doing so I would have no way to determine her intelligence.

I just turned down the 24 yo model and am concentrating on a 33 yo lady I was introduced to who is real and intelligent.

I never gamble with more than I can afford to lose. It was worth the small investment in Sveta in case she is real and things go badly with the 33 yo lady. I suppose she is my back-up plan.

Kevin
But you said, you have 3th woman???

#1) Evia, 33 yo, from Omsk - current focus
#2) Olesya, 24 yo "model" from Kiev - turned away
#3) Sveta, 26 yo nurse from St. Petersburg - backup, but low volume of e-mail (about once a week).

about 2 months into our letters, i had a woman  attempt to scam me. i told her about this and told her i would never send her money(she hadnt asked). this was her reply "It is very interesting to read about money which you would be unable to send to me. Why do you think that I would take any money from you? I can take money only from my parents. "

I am just curious what attempt it was???
basically a lady i had been talking to for awhile told me that she could come visit me in usa. all i had to do was send her the $450 for the visa process. i told her that i couldnt do that but i would be happy to visit her in kazan(where she claimed to live). once i said that, she said that i wasnt really serious about her and she ceased sending letters. she also removed her email account. this was a lasy who had recently told me "you are the only one i could ever love". apparently she was so in love with me that she couldnt bear the thought of continuing our correspondence unless i sent her $450.

well i went to womenrussia.com and placed an ad with their starter package that places the ad online as well as 372 agencies. it was the first approach i took in my search since i figured...anyone who responds is already interested, it was reasonably priced, plus i liked the idea of sending emails rather then snail mail. believe me i received many many responses but it turns out that of the ones i ended up being interested in, most turned out to be scammers or later lost interest in me. at this time im starting back at square 1 and looking for a better approach. out of the hundreds of responses i received, id say i corresponded with about 70 or so, and became interested in about 25...i guess about 15 of those became more serious and of those 15, i think that 6-7 of those were scammers and the rest were ended via either my choice or hers. as of right now i only communicate with 3 ladies. 1 would be considered mildly serious but it is a few weeks between letters and the other 2 are very new and not sure if they will go anywhere.

If you would like one piece of advice. Look first for friends, friends in your fields, same hobbies... And learn Russian. My two cents.
