Just declared himself interim president of Venezuela!

Venezuela’s National Assembly speaker swore himself in as the country’s interim president on Wednesday (Jan. 23) after massive protests against Nicolás Maduro’s government.  The US administration promptly recognized Juan Guaidó. Canada’s government followed. It’s the opposition’s most dramatic challenge yet in the years-long fight against Chavismo, the left-wing populist movement started by the late Hugo Chávez.

LMAO! Yeppers. Here we go again! Yet, we (the US) spent a mountain amount of national angst, not to mention hundreds of millions of dollars for a special investigation body, for the sheer allegation of Russia meddling in our election. As though it was such an evil, blatant attack against 'our' democracy.

At least we didn't bombed the bastards to oblivion like we did in Libya to get rid of Qadaffi, who wanted to nationalize its oil and give it to the people like Iran tried to do in the '50s, as a favor to the Europeans.

Meddling with *our* freedom and democracy. What a croc!
