Federal Judge Rules Males Only Draft Unconstitutional

With women being allowed in combat roles in the US military since 2015 a federal judge in Texas has ruled the US military draft that is restricted to males is unconstitutional.

The draft, formally called Selective Service System is still in use and all males between the ages of 18 and 25 must register. The case was brought by the National Coalition For Men, a men's rights group, and two men who argued an all-male draft was unfair.

Men who fail to register with the Selective Service System at their 18th birthday can be denied public benefits such as federal employment and student loans. Women cannot register for Selective Service.

Will the government end the draft registration or will the government include women in the draft registration? IMO I don't see any purpose in keeping the draft going however if the draft were ever needed again I see no reason why women shouldn't be included.

Wonderful, about bl**dy well time! I think they should include women in the draft and keep it going that bit longer just to ensure fairness is finally done and not have women duck another imposition. This may be a US thing but I'm fed up of wopmen whining aboput not having their fair share of the good stuff then when grotty stuff is to be done men are told its just them. Women then look down their nose at men in the west like we're an underclass, just worthy to be sent of to do the sh*t and be treated like something they stepped in. Let them see what its like to take out the garbage also!

The draft is not active, meaning the US government is not actively taking men into the military however all males 18 to 25, in the US and US citizens living abroad must register for the draft. Illegal aliens must register for the draft.

Yes I know women currently serve in the military in the US, UK and elsewhere. I am talking about women being subject to being called up en-masse against like men often with little alternative. Let's see how they like it when another Vietnam etc pops up.

No, National Service and the Draft are different. Here we nolongee have National Service but when we did every man had to do it between a certain age. I have an uncle that did it and he was one of the last. National Service operated continually, peacetime or war but mostly in peacetime. The Draft as I understand it is a war time measure, that those on it can be called up, is drafted in to bolster troop numbers during war.

On your second point my point is that things aren't equal between me & women in the west. Women are often in a superior position to men because Male inequality has often been overlooked in realigning the gender roles. Women often then end up with such a lofty position that they can do nothing other than see most other men as inferior.
