Crimea border closed
« on: March 19, 2020, 10:43:52 AM »
The Crimean section of the Russian-Ukrainian border will be temporarily closed due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19. It is reported by the Crimean border control of the FSB.

As noted, from 00:00 on March 18 to 00:00 on May 1, the entry into Russia of foreigners and stateless persons through checkpoints established in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol is temporarily restricted.
The exceptions are diplomats, crews of aircraft and ships, persons permanently residing in the territory of Russia and a number of other categories of citizens.
The department emphasized that border guards are taking comprehensive measures in connection with the current situation.
Earlier, Ukraine until April 3 stopped the work of entry and exit points on the border with the Crimea.

According to Ukrinform, Ukrainians are advised to limit foreign travel.
“In two weeks, depending on how the situation develops, we will make the following decisions at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council,” Danilova quotes Gromadske.
According to him, citizens of Ukraine who are abroad will be able to return to the country.
“But (people are returning. - RT) from countries where coronavirus is seething today, certain observational procedures will take place,” the NSDC secretary emphasized.

Ukraine until April 3 stopped the work of entry and exit points on the border with the Crimea because of the coronavirus. This was stated by the Ukrainian Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories.

The corresponding message was published on the ministry’s Facebook page.
The restrictions will not concern “the admission of citizens of Ukraine and their families, persons in order to protect national interests or in connection with the fulfillment of international obligations, as well as representatives of diplomatic institutions and humanitarian missions”.
Also, the restrictions will not affect vehicles, cargo and other property of the above persons, the department said.
Earlier, the Parliament strengthened liability for violation of quarantine in Ukraine.
Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.

Russian-Ukrainian border will be temporarily. It's very challenging.

Russian-Ukrainian border will be temporarily. It's very challenging.

It's existed since 1991 - how 'temporary' are you suggesting ?

What an 'interesting' post for a 'new' member ...with 'online casino' in Thai in the strap-line..  please expand on your statement.

Again, the border is the Kerch strait ... the one you suggest is the temporary one .. as who recognises it ?
