All - I just booked passage on Aeroflot to Omsk, Russia, via Moscow last week and confirmed the baggage limits.

I get (2) 32kg checked bags and (1) 10kg carry one, plus one handbag if I wanted it (under the seat size - think about a large womans purse).  This is pretty standard for transatlantic flights.  The key is that I booked the Moscow-to-Omsk segment at the same time.  Had I booked them seperately, I would be reduced to 20kg TOTAL of checked bags plus the 10kg of carry on.

Yep, actaully some of those small wirey types have more than enought muscles to carry a purse.  

That is the nice thing about those slender Russian gals.   The american women I met in the past could have carried me around without a problem.   They just had trouble sitting in the seat of my car without flowing over to the driver part.
