The Soviet Union Is Gone, but It’s Still Collapsing
« on: August 02, 2020, 11:50:29 AM »
I saw this on a news feed and I thought I would post it here
to see if any on topic discussion might result. This is a collection
of 6 articles written by 6 different authors.

Please note that I didn't write ANY of these articles and I
am posting them for discussion purposes and not because
I agree with everything or anything these authors write.

Calm discussion might be too big of a goal for our peanut
gallery, but I thought I would give it a shot.

Serhii Plokhy: The Soviet Union Is Still Collapsing
Bill Browder: Abandonment Has Consequences
Dmitri Trenin: Ideology Should Not Guide Foreign Policy
Nargis Kassenova: Russia Can’t Lead Through Imperialism
Alexander Cooley: Globalization Only Enriched and Empowered Autocrats
Andrei Soldatov: Moscow Is Still Sacrificing Innovation for State Security

and yet, you still don't see the connection to what happened in the CCCP
with what's about to happen here....
now DO YA?

I hope you're not sending your kid to school next month as a sacrifice for the economy...
the Mayan idea that if you sacrifice enough people, it'll please the Gods
Unfortunately didn't work out...
all they did was just kill a buncha people, and the gods were STILL pissed...
so, don't fall for that again...
