For those of you have gone through the K1 visa process....how did you do it? The months long wait after you both decided to make a life together and now the wait for paperwork to go through.
With covid it might take longer than normal too.
Make a list, develop a plan, always moving forward so that when she arrives
things are as ready and prepared as they can be and above all get her involved.
Does she have a brain? Then keep her as busy as humanly possible.
The last thing this world needs is an intelligent Russian woman with an
active imagination and nothing to do but to wait.
Does she have a diploma/documents? Get them translated and apostilled.
Does she have any professional certifications, awards or something that might
help her get a job someday down the road? How about vaccinations? Does she
wear glasses? When was her last prescription?
Could she use a few English lessons? Then get her signed up. Can she type?
I doubt if she can in English. Mavis Beacon learn to type is a good program and it
will help her a million ways in the future.
How is her driving? Better some poor Russian bast@rd doing this than you.
Is your house ready? Do you have a shower with one of those hand held
attachments? Have you removed any remnant of any other women with the
exception of your Mother or your daughter? Get a new mattress/box springs and
let her know about it. Having a "virgin" removes any fears that you've bedded
half the eligible maidens in the State in the marriage bed.
Plan a conjugal visit I jokingly call this a conjugal visit but by all means
go and bring an extra empty suitcase, bring some items of hers to have in the
house when she arrives. It also gives her another date to look at on the calendar.
KEEP HER BUSY!! KEEP HER BUSY!! KEEP HER BUSY!!
Udachi!
