I've heard about doing that, but never tasted it.  This one was quite good and juicy @ 11 lbs.

I burn myself enough just making fried chicken I can imagine could be pretty dangerous with a couple gallons of hot oil...

If one studies in depth just using that scripture account, we can see that the wise men were not referred to as 'kings'. I don't see where they were actually called 'magi'...or see the phrase 'Orient'. I also fail to notice that there were actually three in number. There could have been two...there could have been five. They were obviously very wealthy and their caravan must have been quite large with generous supplies and servants.
The gifts presented to the Lord [when he was probably about 18 months old] were given collectively. The perceived 'Orient' was probably Babylon I believe. The scripture says they came "from the east". That really isn't too much of a stretch...Judah was conquered by the Babylonians but the promise of the coming Messiah was fervently taught...thanks largely to the prophet Daniel. I suspect that these wise men were gentile scholars that knew something about Hebrew prophecy.

Not all the Jews returned from Babylon to Judea after their release from captivity [as commonly thought] Many stayed behind.. after all they were the descendants of 490 years of detention. Babylon was their home. Their descendants were there when the apostle Peter came and established a church there 1 Peter 5:13
Yeah.. these observations sort of screws up people's Nativity scene beliefs but is it surprising? I can advance no theories on the star that led the wise men to Bethlehem...What made them stop off and chat with Herod or why he and all Jerusalem were "troubled" by the news that the visitors had reported. How could a toddler rival a grown man?
