RWD Local Groups?
« on: August 31, 2006, 03:47:23 PM »
Dan and Fellow Members,

I wonder if any discussion has taken place about setting up RWD Local Groups in various areas around the country?

I coordinated a San Francisco/Silicon Valley Local Group when I was a Mod at RWG, and we had 6 well-attended social gatherings over about a 2-year period.  Basically, we got together for brunch on select Sundays (RW wives included), and we forged some good friendships during that time.  Newbies got the chance to talk with married guys, and we even had some agency guys show up and talk the nitty-gritty about becoming successful in the search for a RW wife.

   Feedback?

Bill,

Interesting that you mention this. Just last weekend there was a gathering of AM/RW couples (and children) at a local park (Denver, CO area). While the weather turned some away, there were still more than 20 couples who turned out - and many new acquaintances made.

I am thinking of setting up a Forum with Sub-forums for different geographies - so if anyone has any suggestions as to the geographies to cover - please post them.

Thanks!

- Dan

Seems like there are quite a few RW and couples in the NY tri state area. (NY, NJ, and CT). And no lack of places to meet.
Tom Hanks in Castaway: You never know what the tide may bring in.
Viking: But you still need to walk along the beach to find it.
