The exclusionary zone was established to keep out trespassers who were stealing items that were radioactive and distributing them all over different different “markets” to unsuspecting buyers

They set traps for these people in some of the places…
so you’d better know and respect the zone because it can kill you if you don’t….

Stories…

that the zone had been altered by the catastrophe

but that the world that once existed inside the zone
