visa
« on: September 20, 2006, 03:31:31 PM »
I know this has been posted here somewhere, but i need to know how to obtain visa to get into Russia by end of October for my first trip.  Is it easiest just to get a visitor visa now and how do I go about getting it.  Also, will they need to know the exact dates (1 week for me) that i will be there? jj

As long as you already have a valid US passport, either one of these places can set you up without a problem -

I've done business with both places before (the first for visas, the second for airline tickets).

You can get a one month tourist visa (30 days) even if you are only going for a week.  Just pick your days to correspond with your possible travel plans.  I always specify 30 days, and leave the extra days after my anticipated return date.  Plans in Russia tend to not always go as expected, so the extra days can be good to have.

I have to date purchased three trips from US to Russia. Every time I used Red Star Travel in Seattle and they have gotten the visa for me as a part of my travel package. You might try them if it is easier for you. You can pay a few extra dollars for quick service and have the visa in 3 days time.
