My name is Natasha Deeva, I am from Tver, Russia
« on: September 25, 2006, 04:19:27 AM »
Hello everyone,

My name is Natasha Deeva. I am from Tver, Russia and I am the manager of TverRomance Marriage Agency which as I have found out from one of our customers is broadly discussed on this forum.

I have joined this board to also have a chance to say a few words regarding some of the posts that I have read today concerning our agency. I also hope to be able to share my knowledge about the city of Tver where I have lived most of my life, the wonderful single women of Tver, my experiences with men who are seeking partners in Russia (I have been working in this field for over 10 years) and some other things that some of you might find interesting and valuable.

I have never posted on boards before although my name is frequently mentioned. I thought that this way I am avoiding negative situations and ugly fights that often appear on these boards.

However, I am finding out that it probably isn’t the best way anymore and I might be loosing some of the prospective customers, just because I am staying out of these boards.

I noticed that the opinion of certain people, who post frequently tends to be more trusted and valued for no other reason than just this. I do not think that they have more experience, more integrity or better service than we do.

So I guess it is time for me (and my girls) to start getting more public.

Thank you for reading this post.

Natasha,

 Welcome to RWD!

I noticed that the opinion of certain people, who post frequently tends to be more trusted and valued for no other reason than just this.

I believe that you will find the members of this community to be a fairly intelligent group of individuals who do not simply believe something because it is written. You will probably face some hard questions but with open and honest answers and explanations you will be treated fairly here.

It is also nice to have the thoughts and opinions of more FSU women here so please do not hesitate to add your voice to any topic that catches your interest.

I used TverRomance for 2 trips, all the girls I met are real (and pretty).  At one time I was writing to about a dozen girls, and all the letters seemed genuine.

I would consider using TverRomance if I was assured that they were not writing phony letters. As far as I am concerned that is the "kiss of death". Some specific allegations have been made by members of the forum and I would like to see them addressed here where everyone can see.

Folks,

The Introduction section is not the place to engage in a debate. If you want to get embroiled in a harangue, please take it to the appropriate section.

Welcome aboard Natasha.

You are correct that some people (maybe MANY) are likely to associate credibility with those people whom are more familiar. Since you are new to the forum, there are some people who will be a bit skeptical of your motives, and will probably remain that way until they have the chance to get to 'know you' a little bit through your posts to the board.

The board can certainly benefit by learning from people, like yourself, who are resident in Russia and who are interested in helping us to learn more about the country, her culture, and the business practices for agencies and others.

Sorry, Dan, however it seems to me from Natasha's OP that her sole purpose in coming to RWD was to answer these allegations.  To set the record straight regarding her agency's business practices, as it were.

I'm sorry if I misunderstood her intent.

John,

I am not sure of her intent - I just wanted to provide a little 'breathing room' for her to make an introduction - and then if she wishes to discuss/debate the business practices at her agency, I think it would be great for her to do that.

In fact - to stir the pot just a bit - I wonder if it might be possible for someone to come on and say "Sure, we sometimes 'ghost-write' emails. It is a part of our business model and we make no secret of it" - Would THAT be scamming behavior?? Fodder for another topic in another section.

I think such a statement would result in such flames as to preclude the need for heat in Tver next winter.

Dan- She brought up the integrity issue in her intro. If it needs to be addressed in another part of the forum so be it but asking her to address this after she brought it up isn't haranguing her. With all due respect!

I was using "harangue" in the form of a noun - not accusing anyone of engaging in the behavior.

As I stated, the Introductions section should be a place for someone to make their introduction. She announced what prompted her to become a member here - but that is not the same as inviting an active debate. If she wishes to participate in a discussion of the agencies business practices - that is for elsewhere.

IMO, when I see people jumping on someone who has just introduced themselves - it looks like (my strange imagination at work no doubt) a bunch of sharks nipping at the flesh of some newly arrived chum - and that is NOT what I want for the Introductions section.

Natasha,

Welcome, and as you can see you will not have a lack of people interested in your business and the questions it brings.
I hope you will be able to address a number of questions living with the members and reply them honestly. But be prepared for some strong opinions.
Being an agency owner and a Russian woman you have a difficult task. ;)
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

Privet, Natasha! Welcome to our forum.

It's wonderful to hear from a person who works at an agency. Good way to have feedback and allay concerns.

Welcome Natasha, nice to see you here.

Like the other jb, the more handsome one, I also wonder 'where is Natasha'?

Look forward to you posting again as I would like to ask you a few questions. Opps, guess we might have to start a new thread for any questions.
