How Did You Meet Your Lady?

Wild Orchid posted the question
"How did you meet your girl?"in the "What country is your girl from" poll.

She added that she thought the majority of girls were met via some sort of agency connection. 

This poll is a little mushy--for example--a girl might have an agency listing and you might be in an FSU city visiting girls and just encounter her on the street.  So yes, she is agency listed, but that is not how you met her.

And on a Group Tour most girls at socials are from agencies.  But you met her because you were at the tour social.

So for the purpose of this poll, vote the actual way you met.

1st one was from a profile on the Internet. I wrote a snail mail letter, she snailed one back with a phone number. One month later she flew to meet me in Seattle. That relationship lasted for almost 3 years. We are still friends to this day.

2nd one came to me via a referral from one of the ladies on the forum, I forget the name of it, where the FSU go to gossip, bitch, moan, share, or whatever else they do there. I used to lurk there, try to read the Russian but eventually got accepted by the group and one of the women told me that I should meet her friend, so I did. I dated her for about 2 years. She will occasionally email me to see how I am getting along.

The latest one contacted me because of my profile on Elena's Models. I received a number of emails but she stood out. We met in Egypt and we seem to be getting along very well for the past 8 months or so. Interesting that I did get an email during this time from lady number 2 who spotted my profile on Elena's. She had almost married, but called if off at the last minute. We reestablished communication and as I said, we occasionally email one another.

Three different meetings that all bore fruit in some way.

I would disagree, as I have friends on ICQ but my fiancee is the only one that I became romantically involved with, but it's your call. My fiancee is of the opinion that dating websites are "bad" and agencies are even worse. I don't agree with her and I've given up trying to convince her. However, after she arrives I hope to meet other couples from RWD who met via agencies as I'm sure seeing a few happy couples will make her change her mind.

I have been meeting american girls on ICQ for years. Seems to me it's one of its major uses.  Are you sure you didn't use ICQ with the idea you wanted to meet a Russian girl?

 Met my girlfriend on Lucky Lover's, it's a dating, friends website with one on one chat feature. Most of the girl's on there are from the FSU, it's free for the women to join, but scammer's are removed pretty fast, many nice, normal, pretty girls.

 Nataly and I started as friends on LL, then she moved to the U.S. on visa lottery, we met, hit it off great, and have been together over a year now. We are currently living together. - David

Wild Orchid did provide me the idea to create this poll when she said:

Dan answered "not all" and shared how he met his wife.  But Wild Orchid had written UW and I think Dan is married to a RW.

A few hours later (at 10:03) Turbo followed by saying her idea was good and would make a good poll.  I had already thought the same thing.  But it was Wild Orchid who I give credit for the idea that I implemented....she was first with the question of how men meet FSU women.

Yes, she did. She was the poster who asked the question and why I created this poll.  You read Turbo's later comment and got it out of sequence. 

And jumped at the opportunity to say something ugly again.  Guess you forgot the 4 or 5 RWD posters who warned you about being negative on the other strand.

If you have something positive or accurate to say, say it.  But leave off the negative and inaccurate posts.
