Hello from CowTown, USA
« on: October 22, 2006, 06:07:09 PM »
Hello all....

My name is James Hale, but I go by Brad for family and friends.  (Don't ask, it's a long story.)  This is my first time here, obviously, and I'm interested in the experiences and information that you can share with me.

I am 46, and just coming off of a 21 year marriage.  I started looking online for girls, hey, I'm a guy, right?  I found these beautiful Russian women.  Well, I signed up with a couple places, and immediately started getting emails.  Well, I also went through and picked out literally dozens of beautiful women, all of whom had interesting traits as well as their beauty.

I took the leap, created a "generic" welcome message, and started sending them out.  The reason I say generic is because I'd tailor it slightly for each woman based on something in their profile.  In the midst of writing to these women, I had one write to me.  I'm 46, and she's 27.  I had by this time read that relationships with Russian women that were close to or over 20 years difference usually didn't work.  So I wrote this young lady back and told her that I didn't think that we would probably hit it off because of our age difference.  She wrote me back that the age difference didn't matter so much as long as we found out if we liked each other.

Ok, what could I say to that?  So, we have been starting to communicate.  Let me stop here and tell you that during this time, I have done a lot of browsing on the internet and have come across many of the sites about scammers doing their thing.  I have a couple women that have written me that fits the mold, but this one doesn't, so I'm continuing to write to her.  However, in researching scammers, I ran across your site. (Thank you very much!!)

Now, I'm here, I'm open, I haven't made too many mistakes yet (although I did send some money to a webcam girl one time because her Mom was in the hospital.  I know... shoot me later!).  This is where I'm at:  I'm in the middle of corresponding with about 10 different ladies at various stages, but this one seems to stand out more than the others.

Teach me O Master's of Russian Women!  I have read and I think I know how to communicate with them, but how do I tell if they are for real or not??

By they way, I'm glad to be here!

Brad

Aahh, the easy ones first, eh ;)?

You might try running a few of your contacts through the Scam Card (menu at left), not so much for its verdict (it's biased to the negative), as for the questions it asks.

BTW, welcome to RWD, Brad.

Brad,

Welcome to RWD. One good way to see if they're real or not
is to plan a trip there. 1) Watch the reactions you get from the
ladies when you announce your plans, and 2) meeting them is
far different than writing them...ie, reality becomes more clear.

I'm not qualified to speak about juggling time, appointments
and the logistics of meeting many - but there are men here
who can advise you well on that matter. Have you concentrated your efforts on one geographic area, or are you spread out?

St Louis, MO? Hell, I thought CowTown was Fort Worth, LOL.

Again, good to see new blood on the board,

Vaughn

It is.

But we can't answer for what folks do out there in not-Texas.  ;)

Hearty welcome to ya anyhow, Brad.

Welcome, Brad.  I wish you the best of luck, and I see you are already learning.  For sure, another girl will soon have her "mother" in the "hospital" but this time you will know what NOT to do :-)

Just spend hours reading here and you'll learn both what not to do and what to do.

Emails never substitute for actualy meeting the girl, so get over there and don't write forever.  And never send money.

Good luck!
