My PC / Cell Phone is broke! Is this ever a legit thing for FSU women?

In corresponding with women from Russia and Ukraine (through legitimate agencies) I Know, I know, it can still be a scammer....
Anyway, back to my point, when the woman complains that her PC is not working or often breaks or that she has had it fixed several times to no avail, or that it is old and she needs a new one, or she is going to ask her mom and dad to buy a new one, same for a cell phone too, Is she just looking for money, or do unique situation sometimes exist that may violate the 10 commands or other rules? I have been to Ukraine and Russia, and I know that few women there have their own computer and internet in their home (with mom and dad of course) let alone an old PC that is always breaking. I dated one girl who had 2 cell phones and a laptop, and always complained that her laptop hard drive was crashing and that she cried all night because she could not write me, yet she only wrote me every 3 days. Well, that girl was all about sex and money. All the sex I wanted (no I did not play her game guys, I am looking for a wife not a nympho), as long as I sent her money for something breaking every now and then. Yet when I am there with her in Russia, she would never ask me for a dime to my face (yes, I dumped her, long story off the point). I did meet a real nice girl (though I was not attracted to her), she was decent looking and very honest with me. I asked this girl (the nice one) how could so many women afford to shop in the fancy mall in Krasnodar Russia, or how they wore such fancy jewelry for making such small salaries, and she told me that most of the girls in that category had rich boyfriends. And that many of the girls who had fancy cloths, that only the very richest could afford these things, yet we see pictures on this discussion board and others where the women always look like "Charlie's Angels". Unfortunately, many rich American men, who think that their money will buy them a HOT Russian girl, soon come to realize that they have only been scammed by another professional dater, many who I have found are even slicker than American women who are only out for money.
Anyway, it all makes for interesting discussion, and I appreciate any feedback. Bottom line, is the "My PC or Cell Phone is Broke" ever legit?

And yes you will help.  This is how:

Many women have their own PC, usually a hand-me-down.  They are a collector of viruses and spyware.  Just tell her that you are experienced with PCs and when you come to Russia(?) you will bring some software to clean up her files so that her PC will operate smoother and faster.

Good feedback, and I did tell her that maybe I could build her a PC when she visits me in the USA next January. Actually, I am a computer technician! As for my meeting her there, I am meeting her in Kharkov for the holidays, though she is actually from a border Russian town. She is taking the bus to meet me in Kharkov. She is sweet, but it just seems that so many of these women try to hint at money, though they won't ask outright. BUT, I have found that once you do offer to help a little, then the flood gates open. These women who are legit, and have pride, and would never ask for money, etc, etc, etc, then think that a hole has developed on your wallet. Interesting how it works there.....

I wrote to a lot of women. Some had many of their problems in life solved with money. It was an easy decision for me to stop writing the few of them and stick with the many women who seem to have their life in order.

a couple of things:  Russian/Ukrainian women wear nice clothes because they invest in one or two very nice outfits and wear them repeatedly for a very long time.  They can't afford a closet full of clothes.  I would have serious doubts about her cell phone breaking down.  Most likely is that she can't afford to buy time on her phone.  As far as her computer breaking down, there are a lot of viruses lurking in Russian internet programs so it is possible.  But there are interrnet cafes every couple of blocks and they charge about 80 cents an hour to use, so not prohibitive.  People here have difficulty meeting day to day expenses but they have too much pride to ask directly for money for this.  Instead, they will hint at other needs and then use some or all of this money for food, etc.  For example, if you give them money to take a taxi home, they might walk down a few blocks, take the bus and then stop at the food store on the way home.  They also might state a cost for something that is a little higher than it actually is and pocket the rest. An important point to remember is that if you do give them money for anything, don't be offended and don't insist that they use it for what you gave it to them for.  Consider it a gift. This behavior is not limited to only American men, but each other as well. Their intent is not to scam, only to be resourceful in a world where resources are limited. If this bothers you, then make the purchase yourself.

Billy makes a good point.  Most women are in the same boat with regard to money, yet most do not bemoan their situation.  Life would be better spent with a woman who sees the glass half full, even if it is a small glass.  

Avoid the women who complain constantly.  What man would want 25 years of menopause.

Everyone have had some good info in these posts, but I will point out that ScottinCrimea made some good points too. Yes, it is true also Scott, many women do buy one or two nice dresses and make the best of them. I also agree with Scott in that every FSU woman that I have met (about a dozen or so), no matter how nice or serious or funny or angry or hot looking or average; they all seem to throw a little hint at money some how without directly asking for it. My intent was to see how common the "Broken PC / Cell Phone" ploy was, whether legit or not. Of course, without seeing every letter that we have wrote to each other, I understand that it can be difficult to determine the extent or seriousness of her complaining. For sure, I am glad that she is honest and does not paint a "All-The-Time-Rosy-Picture" that many FSU women try to do. Sometimes no complaints can be suspicious too. Of course, if any FSU women is true and sincere, each situation can be unique, and not one that you can always throw "10 Commandments" on and analyze. Anyway, I appreciate everyone's feedback. I am just trying to keep my guard up, while giving any legit FSU woman the chance to reach my heart.

I don't care of the woman is American, Mexican, or Russian, they never seem to have enough money. Including my mom. She is always complaining that she does not have any money...unless she thinks to look at her bank balance that is. I suspect that women have learned, when it comes to money, to just run it up the flag pole, as they say, and see who will salute it.

Your lady drops a money bomb and if  you are not either quick enough or smart enough to get clear then you will get caught in the resulting explosion. Recently my Russian lady friend took a second job. Now she is a doctor at two clinics. To have more money was the reason but I did not offer to fill the void. All I have to do is listen to her tell how tired she now is and how she now does not have any time for cook and clean...but she does have more money. I listen and then welcome her to the same world that I live in. The one where one works 10 or 12 hours each day.

In short, very rarely if at all.  Been through it, seen through it and fortunately out the other side.  The remotest hint for financial assistance should be viewed with extreme caution. 

The genuine and decent Russian woman will never, I repeat never complain of her situation.  She will suffer long in silence and mine for example would consider it an absolute disgrace to appeal to me for financial help.  Notwithstanding, I do provide for her in some ways, but that is at my insistance and she then in turn reports to me every rouble she has spent and on what.  BTW I never ask.
