Before my wedding......

I came to Kharkov 1 November 2006. My wedding would be Friday 17 November. Ren had planned and arranged for almost everything with the help of her sister. They had booked a nice restaurang closer to Prospeckt Lenina, chose the menu, hired a toastmaster and so on. I tooth that everything was OK when I came. Almost everything was OK, but we had to look for rings, I had to book appartemend ts for my family and friend from Norway, make some paperworks and so on.

I was very happy to be with my beloved Ren in Kharkov. But she works every 3 day ( she works 24 hours). When she was at her work I meet my Norwegian friends Arne and Remi. Arne is married to a Kharkov girl and partime lives in Kharkov. He has his own flat 30 meters from Alfa club. I also meet Gary from Australia and a Canadian man, both clients of Slava. They where in Kharkov to meet girls. With them I went to Bolero and Alfa club (you can read about our trip to Bolero at this forum. The post is "Bolero club in Kharkov).

Ren and me started quickly to look for wedding rings. Over the next 10 days we went to MANY shops looking for the rings....Girls:)))

Funny story. 1 week before the wedding did I go to Renas hairdresser. I have blond stripes in my hair and Rena "orded" me to go and make new stripes. So I did. Very nice salon, sweet hairdressers and so on. Rena told the girl what to do and then left for because she had to meet the toastmaster. Anyway the hairdresser started to work and after 90 minuets she was done. Hmmm....She had not put stripes to my hair, but made me almost 100% blond....I loved my "new hair", but Rena was not to happy. But what could she do. On Norway I have to pay at least 100 dollar to go to the hairdresser, in Kharkov I payed 70 grynas....The manager of the salon spoke some English and she was very nice to me, very seldom a English speaking guy comes to her salon...She could practise to speak English..

1 day later did I start to have trouble with my eyes. I belived that it was Renas cat that my eyes red and painful. I could not look at the ligth or TV, it was to painfull. The next day I had to go to the hospital. The docktor spoke English. He had been working in Canada (the French part of Canada).I got some medicine and after 2 days I started to feel fine again..To have a infection on the eyes is just terrible, and I was a bit scared when I went to the hospital, but the hospital was old, but OK.

Maybe some of the tincture they liberally applied (hydrogen peroxide ?) got into your eyes. Did you feel a prickly/burning sensation while there ?

One day my fiance Ren came home with a new fur hat...She had found it in the marked and payed 400 grynas for it. It is a very typical hat for FSU girls:)). She looked very good in that hat, and she was very proud of that hat. She told me that she needed that hat for the winter..

1 week before the wedding we went to Sovjetskaya for translation of my documents from Norway. This was documents I needed to bring to Marriage palace before our wedding. I was a bit nervous because I know that even a small littel mistake on the documents could mean BIG trouble at Marriage palace. But the girl at the translation office told us that everything would be fine. When we came out in the street of Sovjetskaya my cell phone rang..It was Galina. She used to work for jack Bragg in first dream. I worked with her in the spring of 2005 when I went with first dream. She told me that she had heard that I was going to marry and she called to congratulate me and she told me that 2 other US men had just got married in Kharkov this fall. She also told me that she had meet a guy from Canada when she was in Thailand last year and she had got married to this guy. I was happy for her. I spoke with er for about 15 minuets. Ren was very angry because she belived that this was a former girlfriend.....
