Mother-in-law
« on: December 13, 2006, 05:44:25 AM »
Thanks to everyone who asked after my wife's mother, Etna really appreciated your good wishes.

However it is my sad duty to report that my MIL passed away at 3:00PM Moscow time today.

So sorry about this news, JB.  Condolences to Etna, the boys, you and the family.  But I'm glad her pain and suffering is over, and you will have Etna back soon.

You and especially Etna have my condolences.  Mamas are so important to a person's life, and their passing is indeed sorrowful.   How is Etna doing?

JB,  words seem so inadequate at a time like this, may Etna and your pain ease quickly
Your Mom is so dumb that she tried to minimize a 12 variable function to a minimal sum of products expression using a karnaugh map instead of the Quine-McCluskey Algorithm.

Guys,

Thanks ever so much for the flood of posts and PMs.

The horrible truth is that it was a blessing that her suffering has finally ended.  Her last days were not easy, they were in fact a pain filled hell on earth.  I wouldn't wish that kind of end for my worst enemy.

The thing I've been trying to get Etna to concentrate on right now are the good memories, the good times we had, her mom's dry, and sometimes wacky sense of humor,,, and the fact that she was pushing 80 years of age.  The old bird had a pretty good kick at the cat for a long time, it was only the last month of her life when things went downhill so badly and so quickly.  Although we mourn her mother's passing as a mother and a close family member, Etna can also see the good in this.

Thanks to all of you again for your kind thoughts.
