Golden Ring Brides kaput?
« on: December 14, 2006, 10:06:42 PM »
I have the impression that Golden Ring Brides in Ivanovo is kaput.  Their web site has been down for about a month.

Irina, the owner, kept telling me it would be back up "tomorrow" but it never was.  I cornered her on ICQ one day and she wouldn't give me a clear answer about what was going on with her business.

It seems unfortunate that after the split with LTP and the loss of all the money Marc and company put into it came to this...

Maybe someone who knows more than me can comment if it is completely dead or not.

Twobit, I hope you are right.  All I know is that for the outright swindle that lady and her cronies committed, she deserves no extra stream of income.  I for one am happy to see that one go.  This is the first I have heard in a while of one of the outright dastardly agencies closing up shop.

Irina busted her hump to make GRB a successful agency, [edited] but I hesitate only because I know it will start a flame fest!!!

Richard, its great to know your opinion, but I have a feeling the little you said is liable to start a new flame fest.  Hopefully, this genie will stay in its bottle.  I just hate to hear when Americans make a huge ie. 100 + K investment in an agency only to see it all stolen from them.  Thats all I remember reading and it was enough to make me sick, but again, I am not privy to all the facts.

Your welcome to use the word if it suits your context.  "prolly" is an utterance very common in parts of Texas between us "good old boys".  Part of the old cowboy lazy tongue.  However, just because a cowboy talks slow you shouldn't assume he thinks slow.  The same thought applies to RWs, just because they speak with an accent, don't get the idea that they think with an accent.

I've heard it used by some of the "good old boys" in Alberta too. In fact my father & grandfather used to use it. Comng from a long line of Cowboys, I gotta agree. Just cause we talk slow, don't ever assume we are idiots. ;D
I've actually lost most of the Cowboy lingo as I havn't been around too many for the past several years. But I reckon a quick trip back to the ranch would cure that right smartly, LOL.

Too true, I actually had a New Yorker once ask me if I could read.   :D :D :D

The thing about cowboys you have to watch is when they go quiet on you, it usually means they've taken your measure and you didn't make the cut.

jb, back in 1972 I spent time in Sour Lake - and first
heard "prolly". The guys got a chuckle when they asked
if I liked frog-giggin' and I had no idea what they meant.

So, has anybody here ever been a customer of GRB?

Agree with Bruce here. I know it is hard to resist taking a shot when you have an open opportunity. We've all probably been guilty of it a time or two in our lives. When you have this chance do you do it or do you refrain knowing that it is really not the right thing to do?

That is where you measure class and integrity.

I have used GRB and have had probably about 25 clients use GRB.

Needless to say we were all quite happy with the service and support we received and were pleased with the large number of really beautiful women in this city.

I have heard into great details from both parties as to the problems that exist between LTP and GRB. I like and enjoy working with Marc, as I do with Irina. I don't think the issue is quite as clear and cut case as Bruce describes it.

It will be a shame to lose this agency in Ivanono. Essentially it will mean their is no marriage agency at all left in Ivanono.

Jack,Jack,Jack

Ivanovo has alot to offer Irine was just not the right person to run an agency. You should think about opening a small office there. Just get a contract , and make sheer you are working with the right person.

I for one am glad to see her up in smoke!!!

I think you guys need to start your own forum. Maybe call it "Agency Owners Having Pissing Contests" or "How To Alienate Clients 101".

Every time I see an agency owner/affiliate comment on another agency it takes them down the ladder in my view of their business ethics. And I'm not looking to use an agency. How do you all think it looks to others who may have been looking at your services to see this endless bickering? Do you really think you are doing yourselves any favors by indulging in this behavior?

Maybe just contact Jerry Springer and see if he would like to do a show so you can really have at it!

Oh cooool- Jerry Springer. . . . I can think of a couple of agencies to invite.

I dont know about having Jack on there- he is a lot bigger than the security guys. Still looks close to football shape. My surgically repaired knees cringe at the thought
