Well, new to this forum - so I'd better start with an introduction.
I'm a 34 year old swede, interested in almost anything in life and the world around us. I've studied Computer Science with a major in usability, as well as a lot of extra psychology and economics. Right now, I'm working as a developer at a small firm - developing software for shops of all kind.
Why am I here? Well, about 1,5 years ago I got in touch with a russian girl via Meetic - she (Sasha) was studying at a folk high school in Sweden, outside Borås, and we got off to a very good start with email. A bit later, we spent a weekend in Gothenburg - and I knew right then that I had found the woman of my dreams, and since then I'm in 7th heaven! There is a bit of an age difference - she's 25 (26 this year) - but we fit perfectly together, and she behaves so much more mature than most swedish girls I've met.
Since then, I've visited her one time at the school, and a few times at her home in Pskov - as well as a few days in her original home-town, Ventspils (Latvia).
We are now planning our engagement (may), and hopefully will get married next year.
Her plans are to move to Sweden and get a PhD in Economics, she already has a degree from the University in St Petersburg. The largest obstacle right now, for her, is the TISUS-test which she will hopefully pass in early may.

In this forum, I hope to read some good stories - get relevant information - be able to help others - and get help and advice myself.

Bjoer751 Welcome.  Congratulations on finding your special lady and I look forward to hearing more of your story over time.  I have no doubt you will be able to impart something into this forum.

If you avatar picture is a self-portrait, then your beard does look a bit unkempt. After all, FSUW expect their suitors to take better care of their appearance, and Swedes can certainly look more sophisticated than that .

Your fiance and my wife share the same home town.  We will be visiting there in a few weeks. 

I know I'm crazy to visit the Baltic states in February.  It should be an interesting outing.
