Hey Everyone
« on: January 05, 2007, 12:25:42 PM »
I am new here and just found this site on the internet. I have so many questions that I would love to ask from people that have or are involved with woman from Russia or the Ukraine. I have made no attempt yet to join a agency or have talked to any woman.I guess I am here to learn and get over some fears that I keep reading about on all Web sites. I live in the US in the Detroit metro area as a auto engineer ,so if you want to buy American I can give pretty good advice on buying cars and some good problem solving advice in that area.
I ride Harley's,involved with charities and in the summer I boat on the weekends on the Great Lakes.
So I'm a biker and so are my friends,I wear a shirt and tie to work and love the water

Hello and hope some nice folks men or woman can guide me on my journey

Is there a chance that there is a woman who would like this lifestyle ???? I don't know

Rumpy, any thoughts on which American cars are constructed the best?  How come you guys can not take the old tried and true models, gut their old interiors and retrofit them with state of the art automotive inovations?  Gas mileage - why can't American car companies give us an engine with more power with better gas mileage than the Japanese routinely are selling us?  Welcome aboard and of course there are plenty of great women in the world.  Some are in Russia if you really care to venture that far.  My advice to the average guy, look in your own backyard.  If prospects are that bleak the earth really is much smaller than it used to be.  Good luck and I really do want to buy American but do own Japanese right now....................but will be buying a new car by 2008 (so I hope there are some new and inovative 2008 models you may want to recommend - especially in a small SUV or station wagon).

Rumpy,
Welcome aboard from a former Michigander.  I lived in Oakland County before moving west.  There is a girl for everyone although RW are far from biker chicks as you can get.  That being said, my buddy in AZ found one that loves his Harely, fishing and hunting too.  So anything is possible.  Good luck.  Read, read and read some more here as there is tons of information.  Start with the International standards section for some basic information and then read trip reports for how it can all begin.

Bruce,

I have done work for Toyota and Honda and also the big 3 ..
All cars are just about the same in my opinion,There will always be one that stands out in every class. 2 years ago I spent 9 months in Tijuana Mexico on the new Toyota Tacoma Truck and last year I spent 7 months in Kentucky with the new Ford Sort Trac and Explorer .The one car that I love is the Impala/Monty Carlo SS which is basicly the same car ...what Japanese model offers a 300 V8 based on the covette small block ,gets 30 miles per Gal on the highway. Trucks,, I am interested in the new Toyota full size truck and I am still waiting to see a Japanese model make it thru the testing that a ford Chassis and testing course has to give ,,,believe me ,,I drive a GM truck and have had 5 of them ,they are my FAV,,,,but,,they wont make it thru what a Ford truck has to in there testing ,,,Dodge truck ,,,Its like following a bleeding deer thru the woods ,,theres parts falling off all the way down the course..This does not say anything about powerterains or comfort ,,,,Nissan truck ,,,couldnt keep the Tranmissions in them long enough to finish testing ,,,did very well in other areas.

The other thing is Japanese technology and american technology is shared/Borrowed now so much you dont even know what your buying,,,,Chrysler owns a portion of Mitsubishi ,,,,,Ford owns part of Mazda,,,,,Chevy ,,not many people know that the Duramax Diesel is a Isuzu motor in there heavy duty truck,,, Gm owns a big stake in ISuzu
The Pontiac Vibe has a full Toyota engine and Trans which is made at the joint venture in the San Fracisco area

The big thing now is that if you buy a 50,000 dollar SUV they make about 16,000 dollars on that vehicle after employees and overhead is paid ,,,,do you want that money to got to Tokyo or do you want it to go to Detroit so the money can be spent here on our economy which trickles down thru the whole mid-west
All the companies have employees here in the US and they spend there money here ,,,but its the profit that leaves the US if you buy a Foreign made vehicle

I use to live on Sashabaw road by Pine Knob ,,,could hear the concerts from my back yard ...I do dress well and I do like the finer things in life ,,,but not everyday ,,,I would like to meet a woman that can play the part of the boater ,,,look great for work function, family and the Fox Theater but can hop on the bike and go to concerts and have a few drinks at the pub and just relax.

Hey, Rumpy,  Welcome.

It would be nice to have an advisor on the car deal.

I'm a GM guy for the last upteen years, currently in a 2000 GMC Extended Cab C-1500, (work truck) lookin' to upgrade to about 2004, but need 4WD for the next go-around.  I like the open bed pickup because I often carry an ATV with me, but I'm not opposed to dragging a trailer around.  I don't like the idea of paying depreciation on new, it's a waste of good money, IMHO.  Besides, I'm just going to take it off road and beat it up anyway.  My co-worker has a 2004 Ford Expedition 4WD that rides very nice and is tougher than nails.  Does any mfg make any thing as good as the Ford for my purposes?

If someone came to me and said they were going to use a truck as a work truck , and for off road applications without suspension modification,,,there is nothing better than a Ford ,,The suspension and chassis components are so over built and have the most rigorous testing in the industry ( ask anyone who plows snow for a living that is not biased) they continually pound these front ends to death (I'm still a Chevy guy ,they ride better and I like there engines more,I think it tows much better also than a Ford or a Dodge 'non-diesel' with terrible gas milage when under a towing load)

That's a 400hp John Deere, 4WD, duals on each corner, superduper S.O.B. pushing 36 inchs of snow.

I  bought my  first used F 150  , 1988  , 8 years ago , it now has   290K  on the body.
I am very impressed  with Ford.
I , as was  my father  , all ways a Chevy man.
No longer .

The only  problem is , the newer motors  are 5 times the price .

Rebuilt 302  cost $800
Rebuilt 4.6 ,  $4K
Thyat is a problem  :o

I personally prefer the Tahoe especially if you can find one with the 4:10 gearing in the rear axle ,,,it would tow your 4 wheeler in overdrive. when traveling down the road solo ,it never shifts out of overdrive on hilly surfaces and the gas difference I never seen for the gearing

 Hi Rumpy, Welcome!

If you aren't sure where to start as far as meeting Russian women, Luckylovers.net is a pretty good place to start. You can chat in real time with women from all over the FSU, you can get a feeling of what their all about. One thing to be careful of is that profiles are not verified by the website, so there are a few scammers here and there, usually pretty easy to spot, look out for the ones with what look like model magazine photo's, and the ones that profess their everloving devotion to you in the first few letters, if it seems to good to be true, than it usually is, but there are exceptions. Just read the 10 commandents here, thats the basics of what you need to know.

I had my Chevy C-1500 for 10 years before selling it, never had any major problems, it drove like a car, but was tough as nails...I'm a Chevy man, but am currently driving a German car.

Rumpy

I need to disagree with Jinx on Lucky lovers. The site is scam heaven. They do not even have a scam policy. If you like to chat go to eastwestmatch.com. Some very nice ladies, they will take down scammers, never met a scammer there (cant promise there aren't any) but never had a problem. You might also try cuteonly.com and merrydating.com.

In my business I have a few F 150's for the light stuff, but a Dodge 2500 12 cylinder for the heavier stuff and the Dodge has been a great workhorse for me.  We are hauling very heavy loads od block, flagstone, boulders, pallets of cement and broken concrete.  The suspension is far superior to the 3/4 ton fords for pure carrying weight.  It doesn't even budge with 2 ton of flagstone loaded.  We really do abuse it with the loads we carry, but it still keeps running good at 120K.

Rumpy,

I used EM and found what appears to be two great girls that I will be meeting in Ukraine in a few weeks.  My third favourite girl was from freepersonals.ru but sadly I found a number of "likely" scammers there.

I only joined the "Weekly Catalogue" but still there was a good range of girls there.

If you're serious do what was recommended to me... Get serious and GO!

Something I've heard from the girls I'm writing to is that there's a fair proportion of "undesirable men" on the same journey we are on.  If you can show them that you are serious, stable and intelligent I believe you'll find several great girls to meet and who knows what will happen after that.

It's NOT easy,  I'm still struggling with my planning and juggling but I'm happy with my progress to date.

(If you want to read about the twists and turns I've found in the road have a look at my blog.  It's NOT gospel because I'm searching for answers like you, but it might give you an insight into the challenges I've had so far.)

last year I spent 7 months in Kentucky with the new Ford Sort Trac and Explorer

Nice info, man.  What do you think of the newly designed "sport trac?'  I have a friend who has the original model (like 2000) or so and loves it.  Is the new one better?

And what about that hybrid SUV Ford makes?  Any good?

BTW- the wife says girls in the FSU LOVE cars.  You have it made in the shade, man!

Funny thing though, FSU girls HATE Germans but LOVE German cars  ;D

The new Sort Trac is so far superior that the old,,They have a V8 option now ,,,a six speed trans with the V8 ,,,the suspention is a better ride ,,,that vehicle went thru the most noise and viberation testing that I have ever seen a vehicle go thru ,they wanted it to sound like a car, every squeek and rattle was addressed down to 2 pieces of plastic that may rubb together...The interior is updated to match the Explorer and the F-150 theme(rear interior door handles sucked but they are suppose to take care of them),,,the box and the rear fenders can never rot because they are both made of Compression molded reinforced plastic,,,21-23 percent fiberglass on the fenders and 51% glass on the Box and Tonneau cover ,,,, I can tell you every nut and bolt on that truck and tell you where and what isle every part is put on

Rumpy...Welcome.

Just take it slow, and don't think 18-25 is your speed.  I've got 20 years on you and think 45 is too young for me!  However, you are the perfect age for anyone you choose.  Some hate agencies while others love them.  You know best.  Anyway, welcome aboard...and go there soon to see for yourself.

PS:  cars.....I have a 67 Shelby GT 350 (405HP w/4 2bbl Webers that I've owned since I was 19, and an 80 308 GT SI that's nice, but I don't fit into it, and the grocery getter is a Range Rover, and a few others.
