Thank you for the welcome Kuna ! Yes this is a great site, lots of information. I have been writing to a woman in Chernivtsi Ukraine for the last couple months and also a woman in Omsk Russia.
They both seem to be wonderful women. I can sure tell the difference in these two. Kinda big city and little city life styles.
Have been leaning towards the woman from Ukraine she is very direct in how she responds to me, and has asked very good questions about me and my country.
I am looking at making my first trip in late spring and can not afford spending time in two cities. Will probably go to Ukraine.
The only thing I worry about is our age difference she is 36 and I am 53, though I don't look my age, this is not a brag just a fact, I look ten years younger. She seems to be very excepting that I am older than her. I have not had any red flags pop up that would make me leary of her intent. Just seems to be a woman that wants a good husband. Robertjay

The age difference is not so important in relationship. Not be in a hurry if there is no hurry.  Time will show.

Not bad at all really. I am 54 & my wife is 37, don't see much to worry about there. Now if you had that same age gap & she was say 21-22 then I would be concerned, but over 30, no problem there that I would worry about.
After you meet face to face that will be the defining moment, between now & then, you are merely pen pals, go with it & enjoy.

I think what Rvrwnd says makes sense.  At 36 a woman knows more than a girl of 22 so the age gap might be less significant.

When I was choosing the girls I will meet one thing that gave me MUCH more confidence was the questions they asked.  It made me feel like they were serious about finding a husband abroad and not just curious.

The only thing I'd say is no matter what you decide to to or who you decide to meet make sure you have a back up plan.  After all the writing the first meeting is STILL only the first date.  Anything could happen.
