Hello all,

I am new to the board although I have posted at a couple other RW boards in the past few months.

I wrote a few woman from Russia and then met someone from Romania who I am very serious with.  Do you guys consider Romania part of the FSU as it was a satellite state at one point?  Are questions and discussions about Romania off topic on this board?

I think you would be dealing with the same issues we all do and I am just one voice but my feelings are we would be happy to have you here.   I know there are a few others who have dated some women from Romania and talked about it here.

Revan  I havn't been around this particular board all that long either, but I have noticed that it is largely Russo/Ukraine focused.  Nevertheless, Romania is very much by political fact part of the FSU as are many other satellite states.

Culturally, Romania is quite different in many ways from Russia and the states further East, but many of the same issues are relevant, particularly as applied to this board.

If you are seriously involved with a Romanian woman, I shouldn't be surprised if you have long since discovered that the Romanians and the Russians don't share a great amount of love for each other, but I tend to think they actually have a fairly realistic view of each other when you boil it all down.

The advice and information available on this board can sometimes be coated with a few barbs, but it is generally good and sound.  I think you will do well to bring your thoughts and questions to the table here.  You will get "Thought out" opinion from others who have been around a bit. 

If you have any concerns about something being off topic, that should not be a problem if it is posted under it's own title.  Simply consider carefully, under which section you post the thread. The administrators will move it to another section if necessary.  I for one can see the benifits of variety.
