The Power of the Bush!
« on: February 08, 2007, 09:48:28 PM »
Thanks to KenC who reposted on the 2 May 2006, here is an old gem originally posted by LP (Lear Pilot) on Planet Love back in 2002 and I take the liberty to repost it again because I think is excellent read.

hidden gem.

... in response to For LP re:POB . . ., posted by Dan on Dec 14, 2002

Guys,

If you missed LP's post, here it is again.  This should be a must read for any man seeking a partner.

Lemme explain sumthin to you I learned from 4 years of being an LEO. Basically, in general, human beings suck. This includes the fairer sex. Women are capable of the most despicable acts known to man and only men who are lonely or lack confidence in dealing with them place them upon a pedestal. By doing so you often forfeit your own sense of worth, a bad move.
Now don't get me wrong, they have their place in the grand scheme of things and I like them too. I'm not saying they should be abused, or even used, but any man who waxes poetic about women in general is an ignorant fool and is just cruising for a bruising. Chicks are just people and because of their emotions, are often a mass of conflicting logic. Lol, compared to us they're continually operating in something akin to an altered state.

My experience is that the vast majority of FSU women have some form of hidden agenda, as do most women. That agenda can be overtly evil or so sugar coated it's barely perceptable. Even the sweet ones (and I've met some very sweet ones) are always looking for an angle, especially in the beginning of a relationship. That agenda may vanish if she becomes sweet on you but it lives on if she doesn't. This is true of most women and with FSU women that cultural seed was planted and took root long before some American smuck like you came along.

How Joe Smuck deals with it, how he pierces the fog of his own emotions when dealing with them, is the key to seeing what they may become in the future. In general, most of the men involved in this lack experience with woman in general or allow their loneliness to run their brain. This seems to be what happened to you. Hopefully you've now learned a lesson.
Be extremely careful around all women. Love the one you think is right for you but never forget she's still only a woman, simply another human being who'll eat your lunch in a heartbeat. They aren't anything special, not even close. And never delude yourself into thinking a particular one is, because they all seem to be when you're just starting out with one. Yeah, I've heard they're all individuals. Hell, everyone is an individual...just like everyone else. Understand?

The fact is they're just like men, animals. Only worse. At least you know why you got involved in this. The key is to never depend on anyone for your happiness or confidence, especially someone you've placed in a position to hurt you. Thats not saying you shouldn't trust them, it's saying you shouldn't need them. Its better to have a woman around than not, but to need one is the single greatest crutch most MOB men have. And when the hidden agenda reveals itself, most no longer have a leg to stand on.

Don't feel too bad, you ain't alone. What a pal of mine calls the "Power of the Bush" has long caused problems for men. Throughout history kingdoms have fallen, wars fought, entire countries changed, all because of it. Since it comes from within ourselves the POB is one of the most potent forces in the universe. Never underestimate it or shrug it off. In fact, be afraid...be very afraid. Respecting and understanding it as well as learning to deal with it will save you mountains of grief. In some ways what just happened to you was a good thing.

In essence, wise up and consider women an enhancement to life, not a neccessity. You come first, they don't. Take care of number one in the future, never lose sight of that and you'll *probally* do ok.

Yes Wiz this is just one of very many "gems" LP posted.  Definitely a first rate guy who stopped posting after marrying a lovely RW.  If you have the time go to Dan's PL Board and his posts should be in the archives,  I guarantee you will laugh as well as think,  a very good read,  tim360

You know i usually was pretty amused with LP's attitude and  posts....
often agreed with them for sure..(not always, but often)

but he bagged most men in this process pretty hard..
(sometimes deservedly, other times just for his own amusement , me thinks..lol)
anyway after all of LP's posts over the years on the subject..
(and almost always condeming ,or poking fun, at anyone even entertaining the thought of marrying a rw)

am i the only one that still chuckles at the sureal irony of LP being now married a RW ?

talk about the ultimate POB.
 :D

pop back in and take a few shots LP..
the waters fine..

AJ,

No, you are not the only one who made note of the irony...

A long time ago I joined P/L and attempted to become a part of that community.  I also suffered the redicule of LP, and the mindless supporters who marched in lock-step with him.  It took me only a few days to figure out P/L was not a place for the likes of me.  It was, IMHO, the biggest collection of bozos and loosers I've ever encountered.  LP was at the top of his game slicing and dicing, his problem was that he assumed everyone who came in the door was just like all the rest.

Considering his general attitude towards RW, I wonder what kind of woman he ended up with.

JB, many of the PL posters are right here on RWD.
I am a sex tourist who is driven by the hunt with no emotion or empathy and suffer from Satyriasis, Don Juan Syndrome and Madonna-Whore complex (but on alternating days) with confidence issues and many other issues. I suffer loneliness with no family, friends or money.  I have ED and orgasm problems

Have to ask,,, did they get any smarter?  According to LP, most of the P/L poster were not fit to shoot.

He would be saying the exact same thing about the vast majority of the guy posters here as he did at PL.

I don't think he was really serious about most of his bombastic posts.  He was just killing time between flights and got a kick out of the furor he caused by his postings, as well as the full of himself feeling that he got from his supporters.

But right here on RWD, we have a few who fit right into the same mold as LP did, and get the same adulation.

P-L was not a board for the faint of heart. Most of the guys who couldn't stand the heat went elsewhere - but there were many who stuck around and learned a lot.

Even today, the P-L board (no longer serving the FSU geographies) seems to draw a more raucous crowd - although Patrick tells me those guys with interest in Latinas have *always* been the most difficult to manage. The guys looking to Asia are, BY FAR, the most well-behaved of the lot.

The irony is -I recall one somewhat well-known guy who visited P-L from the RWNA (Russian Women Never Again) group who referred to us at P-L as the "Butterflies and Rainbows" board - but that was after he tucked his tail and ran off  ;D .

FWIW

Right you are Dano.  Definitely not for the timid, but a savy guy could learn a few things there back then on that raucous old PL Board.  Got a tad heated-up there from time to time... trolls from hell sometimes.  Sometimes just some very screwy guys lookin' to bag a "trophy wife" in the FSU.  Sometimes pervs.  Guys like you and Jackie Bragg and KenC and LP and Leslie and a few others were some of the best informed and most credible posters.  Kept the place sane.  Some of the inmates there were definitely psyschologicaly unfit for a wife from anywhere.

JB,  I love you.  You make good sense in many of your thoughts.  But, forsooth, you bruiseth to easily if you think LP abused you overmuch.  Most was tongue in cheek,  though some was right on the money.  He is a good guy whom off board you would probably like very much.  Just ask the guys I mentioned above.  The nice thing about him was he could stimulate ones brain and tickle their funny bone all at the same time like very few can.  But yes,  it was a tough board.  This one is much more gentle.  And Dan seems to guard the gates quite well.  It's a safe playground,  Ciao, tim360

Don't hold back any more secrets Tim, tell jb how you really feel. ;D

Wiz, it's timely you brought up the "power of the bush" considering you're going back to see Sofia after calling it off. You can't live with them and you can't live without them. I hope things work out for both of you in the end.

Tim,

A couple of the VERY best of P-L have made recent appearances here in the past few days. WmGO made an unusually harsh post which stirred things up quite a bit.

For those who do not know, William is a VERY prominent attorney and an avid hunter. He is also quite likely one of the finest human beings I have ever met.

And John K just joined RWD. John is probably the ONLY person who was posting at P-L before I arrived in 1998, and who is still active. I have *never* seen John K send a cross word, and he is ALWAYS supportive. I have always respected John K greatly - even when I was arguing with him   ;)

There are still some of the old P-L crowd around. I am not sure who "Pike" is - but he was around at P-L judging from his posts - and there was Philb, KenC (of course), Bruce (a/k/a HockeyBrain), and probably a dozen others I have forgotten to mention.

Dan,  Yes John K and Bruce were always a good source of info.  Be nice to read how all goes for John K,  he's been married for quite a few years now.  Did not see the Wmgo post.  I am sure quite a few others poke in from time to time.  From Williams posts one can easily see he is spot on.  This board is a quantum leap above the old PL and the lack of trolls and incessant arguments and temper tantrums makes for a far better enviroment for all.

Billy B?  Secrets?  JB?  Not here buddy.  Though I was a bit understated.  I find JB to be easily in the top 10 of most credible posters here and any new guy could learn alot from JB's experience and wit.  Also I find his new avatar to be absolutely the very best one
anyone has yet posted to date.  Cheers, tim360

Thank you, tim360, for the nice words, though many here would call that undeserved recognition.

FWIW, LP didn't abuse me so much, mostly he questioned my sanity for contemplating pursuit of a RW, little did he know that I was already married to one.  After the follow on flaming posts from his cadre of worshippers, I decided I could live without P/L.

The problem with LP was that he had to make a personal attack on just about everyone to the effect that everyone but him was a pathetic loser for even considering an FSUW (he was the ultimate hypocrite on that point).

If you could delete the arrogant and personal attack part of his posts you could learn a lot. I am convinced that he is the main reason that the Russian Board on PL died out - towards the end he verbally abused just about everyone. I was one of the few on PL who could go head to head with him and whip his tail every time. I'll never forget demolishing his "cost-benefit" analysis about searching for FSUW and how it made him get his pants in a wad :)  Or the time I donned him "DavidLP" after that psycho from San Diego - that really got him good and it tore him up :)

The big message that he continously harped on that is so true is that the vast majority of FSUW are not angels. They are products of their corrupt culture, hence most of them are quite deceptive, dishonest and self seeking. And the really good ones are typically not on the marriage sites. So one has to be very, very careful in searching for an FSU bride. It is shark infested waters. LP was the guy who continously tried to remind everyone of that reality.

Dan, thanks for the compliment and I am sorry for the unusually harsh post. I think it was the spirit of LP speaking through me ; )

That is a terrible epitaph, I'd hate that someone might say that of me about anything I'd had a part in building,,, but if he's comfortable with that,,, so be it.  Discussion boards come and go, those who contribute to the board are a bigger part of it than they know. In LP's case he may have simply thought he was being clever, never knowing the overall impact he had on the membership.

Too bad...

Damn , LP why don't you tell us how you really feel. I just can't seem to figure out why  you think that what you did was any different than what some of us did. I do agree with most of your last paragraph about some of the people that you meet during your travels. As far as kissing your ass, I'll pass.

Other than the "kiss my ass" part,,, I thought LP was somewhat articulate.

I've always thought the game was populated with mostly losers, I just didn't want to make that many enemies... Frankly, I'd always thought LP was one of those losers, why else would he spend that much time on the boards if he was not at least slightly interested?

Did I mention,,, LP, you can kiss my ass as well... I'm not impressed.

I feel so blessed now. Pond scum boy crawled out of his pompous little hole to grace us with a touch of the vast restore of his brown matter. Aren't we just soooo special!

If that is what is called a "winner" I'll happily wear my loser moniker right next to my dumbass badge any day rather than be associated with some d!ckhead know-it-all like TP (or something like that which reminds me of toilet paper).
