Pavel in Kiev...
« on: February 22, 2007, 01:46:57 PM »
I have noticed that some members has had some bad exsperience with guide Pavel in Kiev. I have meet Pavel 5 times, first time when I came here for the first time in may 2005. Then Pavel was working for Jack Bragg. Later I always have used him when I have been in Kiev. He has helped me with transport and finding appartemendts. I belive and know that Pavel is a 100% honest person, he always help me in the best way. And he operate with fair prices, ALWAYS. I regarde Pavel as my friend, and I can higly recommend him and his service!!!

A note to others. PLEASE do not highjack this thread by turning it into your pissing match. If this thread is about Pavel, let’s discuss him. Not me, not Jack, nor anyone else.

Dan,

A special request. Don’t wait for the thread to turn into a mess just to close it later. Please remove all flames and offtopic timely. Including this message.

It may come as a surprise to you all - but I do not sit around waiting to babysit your pissing matches.

Act like adults, and there is no problem.

Those who continue to act like children will be treated accordingly.

It is with happy heart that jb reports he has nothing to add to this "pissin' match".  You guys need to figure out what's important and concentrate on what gets you the girl.  Buttin' heads here serves no purpose,,, get over it.

The thread was about Pavel's services and erupted into a shouting match. I think Pavel may respond but he wants things to die down a bit. Even he saw the pissing match and he did not feel like posting after that.

You are so naive after so many trips
You dont need Pavel to pick you up from the airport and find a flat for you
There are so many falt agencies in Kiev that will pick you from the airport too, hiring a guide to do this means paying extra money

I don't see the point in opening a new thread to discuss Pavel.  All that will happen is that those who support him will say good things, those that don't will say bad things and in the end, nothing will change.  Actually, I think Thor might have done him a disservice by broaching this subject again because I for one, if I were a newbie, would avoid him just because he is the subject of such controversy.

Scott-- Thor did NOT do "a disservice by broaching this subject again."   He posted this on Feb 22, almost 3 months ago, in the midst of the Pavel criticism by one disgruntled tourist.

Don't know why this guy Scorpion chose to comment on such an old thread that is now history.  But it was out of place, IMHO.

*cough cough*

It wasn't ONE disgruntled tourist... but other than that I think this has been discussed enough!

Think about this......Maybe Thor and Pavel are friends......and when you are faaaaaarrrrr from home......it would be nice to have a friend....Do you think  ;)    I for one do not think that Thor needs help to navigate around the Ukraine.......because he is married to a Beautiful Kharkivian Woman.......and he seem's to not forget his 'Friend's' ;)

Hi Wayne,

Yes I regard Pavel as a friend who always helps me if I need help in Kiev. And I help him if he needs any help. Just like friends do..
