  I am leaving my home now to pick up my daughter from Church and then onto the airport for Ukraine.

  Thanks to everyone who was kind enough to offer advice and take the time to help me. I would help any one of you in the like situation.

  Thank you Maxxum,Funkola,and RVRWIND.

  I've been here in Ukraine for awhile now and have not written on the boards yet. I have much to say but will probably wait for a better time like when I return home.

  Thanks to Mr. Jack Bragg we were able to save lots of money here in Odessa because we never used a taxi. Our apartment is a three bedroom and is located right on Dura....street..(not gonna try to spell that name without notes..lol) Good thing also is that the Irish Pub is only 2 minute walk and is open early for coffee etc..and they have free wi-fi for laptops as well as internet service.
  Last night we visited a large dance club that was a three story building and we walked from the apartment along with seven other people we have met here through the friends  of Viktoria(Viktoria is someone who is very nice and Jack knows her.) The night was long as the party started at 11pm and I arrived here in the apartment at 430am. I've never seen so many beautiful women in one club in all my life and I will testify under oath to that..lol.
  Okay I'm off for now but I would like to mention one other thing. The Ukrainian people are wonderful people and if they allow you into a small fraction of there lives you will know more about yourself and their culture. They will afford you the ability to understand the great culture that is Ukraine.

   Yes... We love photo's but do we love video...? I have an hour of video from the club and it speaks for itself in a way that I dare not try to describe here..lol.... Ermmm... Wonderful women...

   I really enjoyed your trip report and I liked all the detail that it showed from you and your heart. I liked the daily progress and the way you landed in country with a mission.

  I can relate to the club part of your trip but my club experience was different in some ways... We were with trusted people and we entered the club under the assumption that I was with my girlfriend who I had met only for 10 minutes..lol She was wary of me but that explains the women to a small degree..lol and I did interlock my arm to hers as is the customary thing for friendship,closeness and such things in fsu countries. I innitiated this and this surprised her because she assumed earlier that ( four minutes) I might be complex or difficult..lol She told me to speak nothing..nothing..(till we got in the club) I respected her ability to read my quick action and she ran with it like one of those footie players..lol The german man with us paid to enter the club but we had plenty of women with us for him to run with the plan of entry. He had issues that I will probably never discuss here but who knows?...lol
  You mentioned on your trip that you met an Englishman at a bar and went to a dance club (yes I believe so at the end of your trip?) He needed advice and you two visited a dance club where the girls attempted to have you pays for smokes that you did not see coming till the end. You took the smokes back and that was probably end of story? Good onya...
  Since this is my first trip to a club of dancing and such in the FSU it was a visit that was really coool.... We all split the first drinks and had front row booth with a view to kill...( I have the video of the dance floor....JEEEZUS CHRIST ! ! !....lol If you would like a copy then it's not gonna be a problem?
  Okay I'm off to bed again..lol and up early to the Irish Pub for coffee and will probably close my eyes as I walk there..lol.

You might have to talk to Dan about bandwidth restrictions because I suspect your video posted here will inundate RWD with activity!!!  Maybe you can edit and post your video on youtube and show us the link... ;-)

About the girls and the smokes.. yeah..   there was a little more than that when we met those girls but I guess it was end of my trip and I wasn't not inclined to sit there and be exploited after meeting so many good people.  Their scam started by them overpaying the taxi driver (giving more than asked for) and ordering drinks 10 times the price of their drinks when we first met... THEN ordering not 1 but 2 packets of cigarettes each.

The funniest bit was when the English guy accidentally tipped the band $30.  The look on his face was priceless!

Anyway... I'll look forward to your TR.

  My trip report will come later at a time when I arrive home....Thanks for the info on the two packs each...I mentally had only one or was that what I read? Sooo far I've had no money problems to speak of but the person I'm with lost a credit card last night.....Seems my Scottish friend towed him on his back a few blocks back to the apartment as I negotiated a cab for a lady....As I returned to the apartment a Russian voice blurted through the door Makki Makki you have to come quickly....I open the door and she enters...we literally run down the stairs,road and to my shock she is running faster than me at 430am...lol .....We find my friend in tow on the Scottsman back and I offer assistance but realize he's gotten this far so we get up the stairs and such is all good....He awakens some 14 hours later and is asleep now...I must look after him because he is handi-capped and that is MY responsibility. ANYWAY....... On the ride from the club o the back of the Scotman he loses a credit card and also did not bring his jacket with him.... The company is advised and he will not suffer as his standing is good with the credit companies and this has never happened before....It was that split second that we seperated...The Scottsman had his back and saved the day...Good thing we have his email as he departed today and we will offer something of friendship for his deeds.
  I should go to sleep now...lol

Cigs... from memory 1 girl ordered one pack... the other ordered two... both went for expensive conac instead of the beer they were drinking earlier - but it wasn't really the cost... it was the attitude.  Ms C and I were out for dinner one night and afterwards went to a bar for some drinks...  It was about $300 in drinks but wasn't an issue because the attitude was so different.  It's hard to describe but my gut instinct was right I think... Anyway.. it was a small event that had no material impact on the outcome of my trip...

 Whats up with drink prices over there? I remember buying many piva for 4-5 grievna, but then ordered a cocktail at a restaurant and it was 100 grievna!    Do Ukrainians EVER pay that price for a drink, or is it just us suckers?

I remember paying 25 grivna for a shot of vodka in one bar and then when I met the "phonecard guy" on the street he took me to a little hole in the wall in the metro station on Kreschatyk.  We had 2 x vodkas, 2 x tomato juices and 2 x warm rolls with sausage inside and I think it was 17 grivna all up...

Mind you... warming up in the metro didn't present anywhere near the same sort of scenery!

  Had a bit of trouble getting a post on here as I could not post and when I did get to the site it read that all persons who posted here had been placed on ignore??

  In any event we leave for Amsterdam tommorow and will stay there for a day or so to visit spots there.

  Beer prices here at the supermaket are very cheap at around 30 cents to one dollar American. The clubs are reasonable and do not go above my local area.(Houston) This is Odessa  and I'm not sure about other cities in Ukraine. Buying chocolate is cheaper in the supermarket and at times really cheap... I bought five candy bars and paid about 96 cents American. Interesting is the price of pepsi...cheaper than my hometown in the supermarket as well as many select items you will find good savings.

Yes indeed...  My honey took me to one of the nicest night clubs in Samara on my visit...  I spent about 10,000 rubels that night for dinner and drinks after.  I think about 1/2 of that was drinks at the night club.  So...  about $200 in drinks alone.  And...  YES!  The scenery was worth it!  Probably the only time I noticed other women while with mine.

Well...  from my perspective I think it is a neccesity (at a minimum it's OK) to get caught checking out a hottie now and again.  Not too often...  but your woman should know she is with a man.  It would simply be out of character for me to not notice a hot number.  I am a man.  Gotta keep the women on their toes.

It almost makes me think you should consider finding a new girl friend.  Personally when I am with mine she is the only woman in the room.  When I am not with her, I really don't care all that much either who is in the room.  Before I met her, yes that was another story.

I really have to question the part about having to keep her on her toes.

I understand your point of view, Turbo.  Yes,  She is the only woman who matters in the room.  But there are other women in this world.  NO, I don't want the others.  But I do, and will notice them occasionally.  I certainly would not be turning my head all night.

The days of me goggling over every pretty girl headed my way ended when I was in Jr. high.  Well...  maybe high school.  LOL

Now...  Here is a photo that I took of my Elena at the night club in Samara.  Notice that next to her is an example of some of the outfits these girls wear!  To be honest I did not even notice that particular woman that night until Elena pointed her ass out in the photo.  There were other outfits even more revealing!  Hehe.  I hope the photo makes my point a tiny bit more clear.

On one hand your gal is pretty enough that it would be hard for you to pay much attention to someone else.   On the other I can see why what was hanging out of the underside of the blonds outfit would create some attention.   I am glad AW don't wear outfits like that.  They have not got the anatomy to go with it, at least for the most part.

The part about keeping your girl on her toes strikes me as something that could work with some gals and backfire with others.

  Just arrived home and am tired..lol Spent all last night in the red light district of Amsterdam from 11pm till about 4pm..lol Caught the ride to the airport at 735am..lol

  Arrived in Amsterdam and we were picked up at the airport by friends who work at the Liday University area Hospital. Hope I spelled that right..lol Anyway we went to the suburbs of Holland and got a royal tour or normal life and people there. We were treated to a personal tour of the area and "I" learned a lot of great information. I've always enjoyed the Dutch people and they laugh a lot(KUNA THEY HAVE THOSE VEINS IN THE FOREHEAD>>LOL)
  Good thing for us is the two girls we met there in Amsterdam are cell biologists and very advanced in English skills as they worked at Stanford for years. They do various projects on breaking medicine....Doing the study of fetal embrionic blood pressure studies at the moment.
 
  Red Light district was a blast as I entered the area at a late time and covered the whole place twice...lol Looked in every window with a red light on and found an area or three that had girls on a 8.5-9.1 scale and they were beautiful. Talked to a lot of the girls behind the doors and the prices were 50 Euros for 15-30 minutes depending on the girl.
  Don't get the wrong idea about me fella's as I don't have a steady at the moment so I am free to do whatever right?..lol Anyway I uh.....negotiated and looked around and YESSS...I could not resist the long haired blonde of about 21 years old who registered at a 9.1. She was very nice...Nuff said...lol
