Has anyone heard of a chemical factory explosion in Simferopol that might have happened recently? Do you have any details?

I have not heard anything about it and did a quick peek on some Ukrainian news sites to see if I could find anything and could not.

Here is a link that may have something somewhere.

So article is more for fear Western country :?... i already see the next move... Ukraine ask officially financial help for fight the traffic of nuclear product... it is only need that American imagine terrorist with so product  and the wallet of Bush wil be open... for Ukraine

Hello!

So far there is no any information about any explosion in Simferopol or Crimea. But people was worried yesterday because there was "yellow rain" somewhere in Crimea. Somebody says there was an accident on chemical factory in Krasnoperekopsk, North of Crimea. I'll post any news about this as soon as I'll learn it.

Regards to everybody,

Eugene, Simferopol

Eugene, thank you.

I have been very worried since Monday that there might be a problem somewhere in Simferopol. My information was from a third party and they did not elaborate on the situation.

Hopefully people will stay indoors until this is over.

You're welcome! I even had an opportunity to check radiation and it's just normal in Simferopol. Not necessary to be indoor. But I'll keep my eye on this and let you know if it will be something worng. Do you have a friend in Simferopol?

Regards,

Eugene

Eugene,

I have found out it was related to the dusting of crops with weed killer.

The chemicals emit strong poisonous gases into the air. Since it was raining outside, people were nervous about leaving their homes until the air was clear.

Irina sent me an explanation today.
