One former agency owner in Kharkov stopped his business last year. Why?? Because there was very littel money for him because he runned a honest agency. He said that the only way to earn money was to run a scam agency...and he did not want to do that, so he just ended his business....

Yep & that is exactly why you should steer Newbies away from bad agencies & on to known good ones & recommend your freesites if you want. But to stick us all in the ame barrel is just plain ignorant.
I fight ar to maintain my reputation for being honest, I have never ripped off or let anything even remotely sleazy happen in my company. As long as guys continue to use bad agencie they will continue to thrive & the honest guys will be like your buddy & close up shop! Don't you think that a disservice to guys who need to use an agency. Not everybody does but there are those who do & wouldn't it be real nice if there were a few honest agencies left so that they could help those who need it.
But no, you would rather bury us all & leave those guys who do need our sevices without anybody to turn to except the sleazeballs in this buisness. Way to do a favour for your fellow man. You are not doing anybody any justice by saying all agencies are bad or avoid all agencies. Your not helping the guy your trying to help & your not helping the honest agencies. By saying what you do, you hurt everybody you are trying to help & end up making more damage than is nessessary.
Think about that, not everybody has the time nor the ability nor the desire to do it on their own. They need a good honest agency, but you would deny them that.
I applaud your vigor & vitality in the fight, but all I ask is that you channel it & fight the right people. We are not all bad & believe me if I was in this buisness for the money, I made a very bad choice. I'm in it because I like to help people & to see them get together & create a family. If I wanted to make money, there are plenty of other ventures I could do that would make tons more but I like helping people. Is that so hard for you to grasp?

Nobody here asked the agency owners to get into the industry...they don't deserve Thor's silence.  The new guy, however, deserves an honest assessment of the pursuit.

The marriage agency business is a sleazy business.  The idea of paying $7 for an email address to one other human being is beyond my comprehension.  It's one thing to setup an interactive dating site with a reasonable monthly fee.  But many of these agencies screen letters and pull out contact data.  The various transgressions of marriage agencies are too many to count IMO and those entrepreneurs who are really above board can find another business where they can be successful without the sleaze. 

I've never used an agency, tour guide, or a professional translator.  I was able to use the internet to arrange everything I needed to arrange, including meetings with various women, accomodations, transportation, etc.  Agencies are unnecessary for those with just a little sense of adventure and large desire to throw away as little money as possible.  (God knows my experiences have been expensive enough without the "extra" services)[/b]

I have said that 95% of all agencys are more or less scam. I have NEVER said that youyr agency is a scam or what?? I just help a newbie here so he is not ripped of by bad agency or even bad helpers...Is that so bad?

First of all, AVOID all agencys!!!

The rest of it goes unnoticed as you just scared the crap out of him.
All I'm asking for is a fair shake, nothing more. I work hard at doin' what I do, I spend time on this board helping out when I can, & I figure that buys some consideration. If I was one of the bad guys, I'd do like them & run & hide & not show my face on a message board, but I'm not & that has to be worth something.

Believe it or not Jazzy gave you the best advice you could hear.

The next best advice came from Timothe if you decide to go the FSU route. If you do use an agency, only use it to get an address and confirm it's authenticity right away and once you make contact with the lady get her on the telephone right away to make sure you are dealing with a real life person. Stick with ladies that can at least speak some English.

What I would use to find a woman anywhere in the world  is.......my common sense. If you search anywhere you will find that which you seek, even if you buy chance stumble over it in the dark. Don't limit your search to one thing or one idea. Look high and low and be prepared to do a lot of searching, aka work. Old adage is  seek and ye shall find.

I have not vote since i cannot choice the two... why limit yourself to one method... using more method lead to more chance to find the right lady...

And you can add advert in newspaper too like explain in a other topic...

And why not add forum like these ( i have find my actual girlfriend on a forum... sorry, she have find me )

I think you are just a little ahead of yourself but sometimes that is what we must do.  I think what you are doing, and I could be wrong is throwing your self into this and hoping to find happiness.   To me, it is a little like trying to drive from Abeline to Pella Iowa without a map.   You need to start by making a map.

I agree, the best way to start is to make some goals, first about how to become the best version of yourself,
then what you want in life and next who you want to share it with. My advice is to do this holistically, fix everything
that you can then find the best girl.
