Couple Questions about FreePersonals.ru
« on: April 09, 2007, 05:39:29 PM »
Does anyone know where this agency is based?  I assume Russia.  Yet, when having a question, I received an answer well written in English.

Because they do not charge a fee, are they excluded as an IMBRA international marriage broker?

Yep, their excluded Gator.

If you meet your woman here or on ICQ. or Yahoo messanger, AOL, match.com, Bride.ru, LuckyLovers, E-harmony, just to name a few, you are exempt from IMBRA.

All you and your fiancee have to say is "We met on ICQ".   ;)

You might want to read the legislation. I'm not sure Jack is right about what he said. The exclusions are I believe on international introductions being a major component of the operation. There is also a religious organization exemption. It does not seem to matter if there is a profit or not just if the main focus is international introductions.

Not sure about the freeps, but I met my wife on ICQ. When I filed my I-129f last August, I specifically stated in my cover letter that I did not meet her through a marriage agency but through ICQ. 19 days later our petition was approved.

I have not kept up with the IMBA but from what it sounds like people are going to simply lie about how they met, do not flame me as to if this is right or wrong but where there is a will there is a way. Don't you just love the loop holes.

There are so many big loop holes Tiger you can drive a MAC truck thru them.

I can not sell ladies addresses to American men without first sending a copy of the man's background check to the ladies.  I can however sell ladies addresses without back ground checks to Canadian men, to English men, to men from Mexico and Germany, Norway, every other country except American men.

For American men if I have a lady on my site they have interest in I simply send them to a Ukraine or Russian marriage agency where they can buy this woman's contact information.

If you meet a woman on ICQ, the IMBRA law back ground check does not apply. If you meet a woman on Match.com, the IMBRA law does not apply. If you meet a woman on Yahoo messanger, or AOL messanger, the IMBRA law does not apply.  If you meet a woman on LuckyLovers.net, or Bride.Ru, the IMBRA law does not apply. And the list goes on and on and on.  If you meet your woman at a coffee shop on Tverskaya, or Khershatyk, or Deribaska, the IMBRA law does not apply.  I know where I'm probably meeting my future bride.
