Stupid Is as Stupid Does

This guy must just about be right up there for the Numbskull prize of the decade IMO. 

I happen to have been fortunate enough to have been around quite a few countries over the last 10 years and in particular the last 5.  During that time I have seen men chasing women of almost every description in ways almost beyong belief, but this................

He hooks up with some "Ol' broiler" from Russia through a website (reputable website at that), gets his testosterone levels way out of whack and goes to visit her for a few days (Maybe a week), does the only smart thing he did in the whole process and that is go home for a while to think. Then, get this, he goes back and marries her.  BTW he never met her family and wonders why her son never wanted to have anything to do with him. Duh....!!!

Then he goes home and sets up all the paperwork for her to immigrate.  4 months into the process she writes him and says she wants divorce. BTW, she is on with two other guys at the same time and hubby bought her a 7 or 8 grand engagement ring in the process apart from fitting her up with who knows how much money. 

Ok so he goes sooky and everyone feels a bit sorry for him.  I guess I did too in some ways although my sympathy had its limits.

But here comes the good bit.  His divorce is not yet complete.  (She is still in Russia and he is in the USA trying to sort out this divorce) He's hooked up with another one from another FSU country, is going to visit her for two weeks shortly and anounces that if all goes well he will propose and file for a K-1.  (Whether or not he can actually file, I don't know and don't care)

As a good friend of mine says, some guys just need "Flogging with their c__ks".   I am........................well beyond comment, particularly after he was given some clueing in and has the gall to say, I know what I am doing and I won't rush into anything.

I have always said that half the guys out there in the hunt should not be allowed to reproduce or be allowed abroad without an attendant. I started out thinking 10% but the numbers have increased dramatically over the years as the stories continue onward and upward.

 1) You can't fix stupid!

 2) If you make something idiot proof, someone will build a bigger, better idiot!

Of course we have our very own versions of people like that right here at RWD although one is just a "friend" of an RWD member...

I reckon the biggest scam that exists in this whole industry is that our countries give passports to idiots and other countries give them visas.

 I knew a guy who was courting an obviously pregnant
FSU woman, showering her with gifts, promises. He catches her
walking through the park hand-in-hand with her "uncle" as she
explained. At this point, he began to get suspicious that
she was playing him like a fiddle. Ultimately, he posts her photos
on some scam site, wailing on about the lost money, the deceit,
while seeking cheerleaders on Yahoo boards. My wife and I knew
the woman personally - she couldn't shake the guy, and if was guilty
of anything it was her inability to refuse the lavishness.

 I think these guys suffer from a sense of entitlement.

At this point, he began to get suspicious that she was playing him like a fiddle. Ultimately, he posts her photos on some scam site, wailing on about the lost money, the deceit, while seeking cheerleaders on Yahoo boards. My wife and I knew the woman personally - she couldn't shake the guy, and if was guilty of anything it was her inability to refuse the lavishness.

One thing I have learned about chasing RW: trust your intuition and cut your losses early.

I've spent time with some RW who were just plain trouble, but I didn't go post their names and photos on scam sites.  There are more low-class women in the FSU who can possibly be accounted for on scam sites.

If you don't trust your intuition and common sense (or don't have much of them), you're in big trouble in the FSU.  There's trouble around every corner if you can't filter it out.

It's a good example of someone who's deluded into thinking that they can buy a bride with gifts, etc and then they'll get all twisted out of shape when they realise the women actually want relationships and an emotional connection.

There's definitely pro-daters out there but I suspect there are just as many "desperate deviates".

The 1 minute wonder

I know one guy who came to Russia all prepared to meet and marry his lady on the first trip. He had his aposteeled birth certificate and a letter from his employer explaining he had only two weeks vacation per year to try and get around the 31 day ZAGS' wait. She meets him for the first time at SVO 2. They then rushed to the American embassy to swear out an afidavit that he has never been married before. Then they went to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to get some document and got a same day rush service for an extra price. Then together they went to her home city and he met her parents. The parents went to ZAGS with his employers letter and a bribe. The employers letter was just cover for ZAGS. They then got married with the week of their meeting. Afterwards for the honeymoon they went to the American embassy and put in for a DCF when it was still possible there. 1 month later she got her visa and came right away. A few months later she was pregnant. Last I heard they were still together.
