You should understand one thing guys, if you want attract russian woman , you should not just be delighted by her beauty or only herself, you need to adore and admire her culture and know some things about it at least, what is the use to marry a woman and then just do  not understand her outlooks and so on , do not share the same feeling about the places so dear to her heart........

It's tempting and even easy to get caught up in the "kid in a candy store" syndrome... but I assure you, if you treat these ladies like candy, you'll get garlic.

Learning about Ukraine seems to be exactly what he's doing.  According to his earlier posts, this trip is to see the country and pretty much just get his feet wet.

Andy, If you do find yourself having more than a passing interest in a lady there, keep your head screwed on straight.  A good woman is not looking specifically for a way out of her country. She will be checking you out from top to bottom to understand for herself if you might possibly be a good mate for her.  Beware of any other behavior that seems too "quick", too overt, or if she seems to always take you somewhere that it would seem logical to buy her something.  If you think you're a macho man because you "scored" with her on the first date, you are more than likely a macho mark being played in a con.  These girls are open to physical relations in ways that will blow your mind, but they respect themselves and this type of situation usually will not occur on the first or second day.

Yes they are beautiful. Yes there are many.  But you have to make sure you are dealing with the kind of lady Jazzy is describing, otherwise you are most certainly in for a wild and probably painful ride if you aren't thinking straight enough.  Just some thoughts...

An agency I have used before is http://adam-and-eva.com/  in Odessa. I have never had any problems with Natasha---but do keep in mind that all agencys are a BUSINESS---that's how they put borscht in the bowl.
She also rents VERY nice apartments on Deribasovskaya St. --the heart of Odessa. She has also branched out handling apartments and other service in Kiev

  If you don't mind me asking, what age range are you? You don't have alot of time for this trip so doing alot of travelling takes time obviously. There's a small town about 2 hours from Kiev called Chernigov/Chernihiv. Maybe 300,000 pop.I have some wonderful friends there that might help you out. Fun town actually. There's a beer there by the same name. I always bring several bottles  with me. My favorite. You can PM me if you want. Women wise it's close to 10-1. I consider Ukr. my second home. It's a beautiful country.  Looks like you and HiTech will miss May 9 in Ukr. Huge holiday and Kiev throws a party. Have fun !!!

Jazzy No hurricanes and it was not a silly comment. Your country and culture are very important for people to understand especially before they make the journey but to really know and understand Russia  one  must eat, sleep, drink and live Russian. total immersion.

This is so true!

When I met My Girl she was very happy that I was interested enough in her, her culture and country that I spent some time to research and understand a little before we met.

She also asked me questions about Ukraine during our time togther because I know she could never love a man that didn't respect her homeland or culture.

Of course my family heritage in part was Ukrainian so I am proud of my history too but I sense that it's an aspect that not many men would consider important before travelling.  If they can't find an interest in FSU or don't respect the culture I wonder if they should even be seeking a wife there.

Sometimes I'm dismayed when I hear men speak so negatively about the food in FSU.  Some of the dishes are a true delight but if someone is so steadfast in their love for MacDonalds or basic western fare I don't feel there's a respect for their partners tastes. Imagine if a FSUW came to the west and refused to adopt her new countries ways... It's just as bad as a married western man not adopting some of the ways of HIIS new country.

My Girl and I have talked about the future and the way we would raise children and we both definitely want our children to be able to speak both English and Russian.  We want them to identify with their Russian and Ukrainian background and intend having them grow up being and feeling close to their Ukrainian and Russian families.

It's important to us because we both believe heritage is important and we believe our children will live richer lives if they adopt the characters of both cultures.

My Girl often jokes that she will have 2 children to teach Russian to when we have a child... me and the baby.

They have some very nice looking apartments for rent, but I could just be falling for good photography and marketing.  I'd feel better is some here had used them and was happy. 

Also, I would assume ther are there some areas in Kiev that are best to stay in.  Can anyone direct me to the most centrally located / safest areas to stay?

Jazzy, Andy is going to Ukraine where, depending on what part of Ukraine he is going, he IS going to meet MANY Russian girls. Only from my own perspective and experience Jazzy but if Andy does go to Kiev and Odessa as he expressed, their will be many, many, many women living in these two cities who consider themselves Russian women.

Andy, again only my opinion, you should be no where else but the center of the center in Kiev. You should be on or within a 7-8 minutes walk of Khershaytk, the center of the center.

Yes, you can go 2-3 metro stops away from the center and save $10-$15 a day on a flat, but why?  You will be going to Khershaytk every day. Life, women, Kiev, is Khershaytk, especially on the weekend.   If you get a flat away from the center once you pay the round trip taxi fares a couple times a day, late night, early morning, you have now spent more in transportation than the $10 a day you were trying to save.

Get your flat in the center of the center, period.

With regards to the Kiev flat agency you were looking at we also rent out many of those same flats but about $5, sometimes $10 a day less.

So I've got a few more questions... 

I read that I should bring some dressier clothes.  How dressed up do guys get over there?

What do you think the temperatures will be like?

I was able to adjust my itinerary, and now that I have 2 extra days (8 nights total), do you think I have enough days to hit one other city now?  If so, is Odessa a good choice, or are there others that would be better? (Just looking for some opinions)

What restaurants, cafe's, bars, clubs, ... Do you guys recommend?
