10 yr. green card in record time?

After submitting our info at the local BCINS office here in Dallas we receieved our green card in only 3 weeks.  They told us 6 months to a year just to cover their butts.  Needless to say we were pleased because we are planning to travel back to Odessa in May.

Just for the record, could you give us the overall time line?

When were you married, was it a K-1, or a K-3 visa? When did you file the I-485, vs. when did you get the interview?  Usually there is a delay for biometrics and background checks.  You've got me curious because we waited months for everything to fall into place before we got the 10 year GC.

I'd like to know if things have speeded up in the past year. BTW, we went through the San Antonio Office.
