K-1 Do it yourselfers...I have a few ???
« on: April 15, 2007, 01:06:06 PM »
Hello everyone...I am trying to get some confirmation on a few things for filling out the K-1 paperwork. I have a couple of questions:

1.   For the first package you send to the service center, is this all that is required:

Completed and signed I-129F
Completed and signed G-325A forms for both petitioner and fiancée
Completed, signed, and notarized I-134 Affidavit of Support
Love Stories with details of meeting by petitioner and fiancée
Original notarized statements of intent to marry by petitioner and fiancée
Certified copy of birth certificate of petitioner
Pictures of petitioner with fiancée, and her family and friends together
Passport type pictures of petitioner, fiancée, and child (if applicable) taken within 30 days of submission
Postal Money Order for $170 payable to Department of Homeland Security

2.   On the I-29F application, in block 16 it asks for the info in the applicants native alphabet if not Roman letters. My girlfriend is from Ukraine, and speaks Russian primarily, and some Ukrainian. Are they asking for her information in the Cryllic alphabet here, or do I just leave it blank? What have you done?

Thank you in advance for all of your help!

RK,

Your list is close but not exactly accurate.  Must be "exact".

This will help:

Original notarized statements of intent to marry by petitioner and fiancée

RK, these do not require notarization, but hers should be written in English. The
link Gator posted offers a good working sample....

No problem you owe me a ride in your whirly bird?  Better yet take Vaughn and his wife for a ride.  North Carolina  is beautiful. I spent a summer in Vally cruses, area near Boon.

You might also want to drop by the local office supply store and find one of the medical type (top clip) file folders--that's what USCIS uses.
Cover letter like Scott said, and I even listed contents of each section; with tabbed index. Anything to help the poor drones actually going through your application.
BTW-you might want to consider using the on line, fillable forms or typing the info--it will save having to go through correcting misspelled names later :cluebat:  don't ask me how I know this ;D
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Do not forget to keep a copy of everything you send them. You will, more than likely need to refer to it at some point in the future (especially if you have any problems with USCIS).

Good Luck!
