"warrior" isn't the word that comes to mind when I read the TR.

Moron comes to mind but I stopped reading the drivel a long time ago and utilized my ignore option.

Amazing how the premise went from being not serious at all about the Foriegn bride process to some kind of decision-making process being in the works. So much for long time girlfriends and relationships. . .

I know. . . and I have my convictions about it as well - I just felt better not saying anything (being new here).  And honestly I thought maybe this guy will fall in love with the woman that is heavy (Sweet Sugar) and there would be something good come from it other than sport *&%#ing.

 ;D

BTW

That's sport Dating. . .

Well. . . honestly - I was impressed that the famous TR guy had offerered one of the board members some money to help him "out" of Russia with his RW somewhere between girl 8 and 9 or was it 13 and 14 - ??? on another posting; I felt it took some heart and compassion to offer this.  On the other hand - maybe he has terminal priapism and felt it was his only recourse.

Personally, I'm a Christian and don't agree with the WMVMFM mentality.  I don't even want to make love to one unless I "really" wish to marry her.

And now you have my 0.51784 Russian Rouble at todays exchange rate.

The issue I take with an "offer" like that is that (to me anyway) it is much more like "HELLO EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME! SEE WHAT A GOOD GUY I AM!". I think a genuine offer given from the heart to really help out would have been done offline. Of course, even some genuine givers just have to make sure others see them do it. Some kind of ego thing I guess.

Doesn't the "sport"fishing TR indicate a possible ego issue anyway?

Heck, he's probably just a ficitional writer anyway.  I took it all as tongue in cheek.

When you read his nonsense, he tells a lot more about himself than he thinks. Probably too long with the piPe, makes me want to pUke, and not the kind of guy I Like.

Perhaps an early onset of senile dementia. . . .

No need to hold back William... tell us what you really think!  :D

I'd bet there are many here who are similarly impressed.

He's getting old and limp and is out there trying to prove that he's still a man in the only way he knows how.

My theory is to do what works for you, your situation and your personality. There is no
single best way to meet a woman for love and marriage. There is no single location to
find them. What works for Abe from Abilene will fail spectacularly with Bob from Boston.

My advice is to figure out what works for you, then do it. Then do it is the operative
phrase here.

I agree with doing what works for you, but I think newbies may be confused as to not knowing where to start and what approach to take.

WMVM sounds optimal use of time and efficiency but has nuances to being able to successfully pull it off that a newbie might struggle to navigate. Commonly these are not communicating with a FSW too early before travelling (perhaps not much more than a couple of weeks before visiting) and how to deal with her questions over whether you are meeting other women as that can be a clanger.

WOVO is easier for a newbie to navigate as it's more straightforward, it's how I started off and what I generally stuck to for most of my trips. However, it's not a very efficient use of time as a lot of time and resources can be put towards just meeting one woman. I know you Bill have used a WOVO method and then almost transform that into VM if the first girl proves to be no good. That is an interesting method and has it's merits also but I think for many might have some nuances to navigate that some may not find easy.

I think both of those methods are hung up in the days when flight travel tended to cost more and the FSU was less exposed to western culture. Far better these days to try and move away from a time limited mindset and instead of WMVM or WOWO or any adaption of those is to plan to visit for a significant amount of time, I would say in excess of 1 month. Look to budget enough money to travel to the FSU and then live there for at least 1 month, 2 months or more is better. Then just date as you would locally just pulling up the women one after another until you get to one that is the one you want to go with and most crucially who is into you.

It's a strategy that requires more money upfront and time off work, even chucking your job in may be necessary or letting your employer know that you need a long leave of absence. However, I think it allows far greater chances of success with better outcomes. You still need to be able to weigh girls up and find a good girl and as always a bit of luck may come into play but I think it increases the odds a lot of success. Find a region/city of the FSU where you can date a lot of girls fairly quickly and do a good profile choose your dating sites well and you're in business ;)
